USD 75 shipped to US. But its more for international, it would be pretty ok.

Identical one SM4700 from Guangzhou Sanmak runs for usd98 shipped to US. Not too good. Its usd57 shipped to my country.

55W bulbs, all bases and colour temperature, usd 9.00 / pair

75W bulbs, all bases and colour temp, usd 18.50 / pair. (cheapest i found elsewhere is Northern Star Lighting Industry on aliexpress, usd20 / pair + $4 shipping for my country). They charge $2 for shipping.

I have 100W bulbs, but the arc gap is pretty long, like 4.5mm long. Hope the 75W ones are shorter. The 55W bulb electrodes will get eaten very fast, hence the gap gets longer (worse throw) though the arc chamber can survive for a few hours before deformation. Which is ok for hobby use. Sealed

I tagged 6 bulbs to my 8" HID order stock up for my 3 other HID hosts, save on shipping. (free shipping). So have 16 bulbs now, you can't have enough bulbs once you start playing with the colour temperature!

Could you test the reflector?

I once purchased such a thing on ebay trying to get an excellent thrower, but it's completely useless for me,

because it's just distortions insetad of a focal point (I don't have just an out of focus issue).

Hi bro, yes (1) its imperative that you get big reflectored HIDs in focus (ie arc chamber position in the reflector). It may seem that its only important for short-arcs, but its not....HIDs benefit greatly from this as well. This is a 8" reflector, everything is magnified. You have 2 things to play, depth as well as side-to-side play.

(2) Bro BVH of CPF HID & Spotlights did mention the reflector is crap, the base is just like ripped off from the mold. The focusing is also crap. I'll see what it can do, and if it needed fixing. I'm not very particular about such things, performance makes the day for me. I won't even use this one in real life as the battery is external. LOL!

I only purchased it because its cheap, and i need a host.

Actually I found a Costco Thor, unfortunately its the "Platinum version" which is the 400W Thor which you see in CFP....ie 6 or 7" one. Its usd55 and no ballast, not that i needed one anyway as i have spares. But i don't need a 6-7" one. I originally thought it was the 9" Thor X Colossus, the 9" reflector one.

I have 2pcs of SM5200, the "Yao 35/80" or "Mule 35/80" host which some aliexpress stores are selling. I got one from Guangzhou Sanmak at usd89 shipped, another for usd60 shipped (that's another story why it is so cheap). Anyway no worries, both are ripped apart for mods. Innocent

Its not pretty, even the 600 dollar Yao/Mule would not appear nice on white walls. But we are performance oriented flashaholics, I just want the LUX. But the Yao is just a little worse than my Amondotech 3152.

This is stollman's Yao in there.
