Ugh! Lost my EDC!

My next EDC will be an S3 host ( I love flood for an EDC ) with a deep carry clip , an XML2 4C and a Qlite driver set to two modes .

But I'll always have a soft spot for my XIAOZHI .

I lost my EDC light the other night when my sister looked at my new D25A and said “Oooh can I have this? You can’t tell me with a straight face that you will be without a flashlight if you give that one to me.” Yeah, I can buy another one, but, but I liked that one.

It’s better to have loved and lost your EDC than never to have loved an EDC at all…

Love that quote! That should be someone's signature!

Sometimes it helps with the pain to tell myself that my EDC went to a better place.

Bummer. Sorry you lost your light. I carry a Moddoolar Pocket (I have for several years) and would be pissed if I lost it. On the other hand, I have lots of lights and it would take me all of 10 seconds to grab a different light to carry.

A better place than the pockets of a flashaholic?
What place would that be?

flashlight heaven? 0:) 0:) 0:)

I guess loosing an EDC is just as annoying as see it brake or defective.
That brings to mind, that I still have to resurrect my beloved Xiaozhi, probably in 2014.

Garry, PM me your address.

bummer. I keep my edc’s either holstered or lanyarded with a bayou clip, have you checked between the seats or under the seats in the car? I found my beloved oem big head d4 behind the van seat a couple of weeks back, I was convinced the kids had binned it, it had been missing for months, cant tell you the relief you’ll feel when you find it. fingers crossed for you bro.

losing a light you use the most is really sucks,i only EDCing a cheap AA light that cost me only $4

I have given the car a pretty good look over, but I'll check between the "cushions" and such. I think my most likely place of losing it was getting out of the car in the parking lot (coat grabbing the light's clip). I did look around the area this morning, but like I said the plow has been through the area.

Thats a shame, hope it shows up before you order a replacement. I’ve lost two of my edc lights. The first was a jetbeam ba10 that I lost in the snow in front of my parents house. When I came back a few weeks later after it had all melted it was still there and still worked just fine, but I had already ordered a replacement.
My other lost edc was a convoy s4 (t6-4c) that I lost on a search in the jemez mountains the same month I got it. I ordered a replacemt and still edc the same light, but now its on a cobra stitched paracord lanyard with a metal ring on one side that clips into a carabiner that holds my keys to my pants and a s-biner on the other end that connects to a small split ring on the light so I can easily disconnect it for use.
I’d love to find that s4 and see if it still works

I really liked the D25A mini as my EDC. It had PWM which I don’t like but that gave it great tint which I do like, and it had the newer XP-G2 in it. It was a no brainer giving it to my sister because my truck broke down and she paid her mechanic to drive over and spend 8 hours working on it so I could get home in time for work on Monday. I asked if there were anything I could do for her, and she pointed to my flashlight.

So I definitely miss it, but I’m torn between another D25A or an SC52W. Oh well, in the meantime I’ll rough it with the SRT3, which is awesome but kind of bulky.

Sorry to hear Garry. I went looking in the car park here and could not find it. I’ll send it back if I see it. :frowning:

Did it have magnets on it???

…If you love something, Set it free… If it comes back, it’s yours, If it doesn’t, it never was yours….

if you have a million dollars to set free i’ll send you my paypal 8)

Definite flashaholic right there!

Hey Garry, THANK YOU for being the 1st replying to my thread.

I REALLY feel your pain.

A few days ago, I lost a “pen” 25cal single shot Derringer.
I used it for show more than anything else.
I don’t know what made me get it out for fresh air.
No one to show it to either.
I carry way more powerful weapons.
Even my knives are more effective.

My loss is irreparable. No chance in hell to find another.

I cried (no tears) for like 2 days. And looked 100’s of times in the SAME places.

I’m over it now. Everything happens for a reason.

There’s always someone more screwed than you.

Carlos.
