Micro USB TP4056 boards! Nice!
I’ve recomended them a bunch of times. Now I can direct people to your site even more then I already do!

With a D cell battery holder you can make a 32650, 26650 charger for $3. Use dual TP4056 boards for 1.7A charge current.

~ Edit ~
RMM, tp4056 doesn’t seem to actually do a full 1A. More like 850mA.
I would like to think most people wouldn’t complain about a 150mA difference tho.
HKJ review.

You're right, it probably doesn't do 1A under all situations, but that is the manufacturer's rated output (i.e. under ideal conditions). I can imagine that the power source, quality and length of USB cord, etc. all make a big impact.

HKJ tried 4.5, 5 & 5.5v.
Heatsinked to a large piece of aluminum.
Thicker gauge wires then any usb cord soldered to input skipping any issues with the usb jack or usb cord quality.

Its a very good CC/CV chip, it just doesn’t do the claimed 1A. Slight exaggeration in current. Nothing like you see with chinese lumens or anything.

Thanks for HKJ's link on the charger.

Added a few CC/CV LM2596 boards. They are pretty nice, I use them to charge my 4.35v D1s and my little 10440 cells.

just placed a order for 4pcs of 20R battery’s

Just added to store: (pictures upcoming, but I think you know what these look like)

  • Panasonic NCR18650B 3400mAh (unprotected, flat top)
  • Sanyo UR18650FM 2600mAh (unprotected, flat top)
Also, more unprotected PFs.

Looks like by this weekend there will finally be some more hosts in stock, namely Convoy S2, M1, and S6. Convoy C8 are also coming soon.

Are you getting more drivers in ?
Ran out of parts, need to resupply

Does it show that I'm out on your end? My end shows that I still have plenty.

I see “Out of Stock”

OK Just checked and you have 33

Thanks

I'm looking for a forward clicky for the C8 (here). Does anyone know where I can find one?

edit: And in the future do you think you may stock them?

Richard you made a lot of site improvements from just a month ago. I like it. I prefer the "Grid" display view.

I wonder if your business will boom sometime soon.

I've been thinking about a MT-G2 build. Can a pair of 18350s fit in LP2 Solarforce? Can they fit in most C8 lights?

Edit: I like neutral tints, like a 3C... what do you guys think: A dedomed XM-L2 1A or 1D? Which gives a nicer color?

18350s will fit in a L2P even with a long spring on the driver - the C8 needs some work. The pill puts the driver too far rearward. MTG2 left, stock right.

Hi MRT, I will be stocking some nice forward clicky switches in the future. They will fit most C8 lights, but there is so much variance that it is hard to make any guarantees. Full measurements of the switch will be given so you will be able to see if for yourself if it will fit or not before purchasing.

On both my XinTD V4 and Ultrafire C12 I am able to fit two Efest 18350s with the qlite driver spring without modifying the pill by simply removing the brass plunger in the tailcap. The spring now contacts the cell directly but it gives you a lot more room. Again, with the variances in these lights it is hard to guarantee what will and won't fit, but you should have some idea by doubling up the measurements of the cells and seeing if that length looks like it will fit.

On a plain 'standard' (whatever that is these days) C8 they still poke out the back even with the shortened pill. The tailcap is different than a lot of other lights though, the switch retainer doesn't seat against the rear of the battery tube, so there's just barely enough room.

thx comfychair... that's way more info than I was expecting. excellent work

Ok more requests... you probably hate me

>maybe the LUC V4 charger... once fixed...

I don't need one since I have a Thrunite MCC-4... but I think the LUC will sell well IF they fix it (cf. DBCstm post)

Calvin just verified the LUC is fixed, making the cells 4.2V plus or minus .05V. The new ones are sporting Bio v2.

And Jone pitched in from Efest stating that the Owners manual would reflect the 4.2V termination voltage.

AND…(so excited just gotta share…) I just built a Mini C8 running an Efest IMR10440 with an XP-G2 R5 2B on a Noctigon making 518 lumens OTF at start and 459 OTF @ 30 sec, pulling 2.49A…from this tiny cell! It’s so much fun when a mod WORKS!

Sorry to butt in on another seller's thread but future LUC V4s will be fixed, existing inventory will definitely terminate around the 4.3V range. I'm not sure what sporting BIO V2 means, the BIO V2 is a different charger by Efest. The V2 stands for number of bays, not a version change of the charger. LUC, LUC V4, Bio V2 are three different chargers with 2, 4, and 2 bays respectively.

EDIT: I made a mistake, the Bio V2 actually happens to be a change in version, there existed a Bio V1, but the V4 in the LUC V4 refers to number of bays. Sorry!

That bit about Bio V2 is my misunderstanding, I didn’t realize it was a completely different charger. Sorry about that. Easy to slip stuff by me these days, lol.

( I leapt to a conclusion of a bios v2, like the software had been rewritten. Duh.)

Pics or it didn’t happen! Deserves a thread imho. Love efest 10440s.
