Ugh! Lost my EDC!

bummer. I keep my edc’s either holstered or lanyarded with a bayou clip, have you checked between the seats or under the seats in the car? I found my beloved oem big head d4 behind the van seat a couple of weeks back, I was convinced the kids had binned it, it had been missing for months, cant tell you the relief you’ll feel when you find it. fingers crossed for you bro.

losing a light you use the most is really sucks,i only EDCing a cheap AA light that cost me only $4

I have given the car a pretty good look over, but I'll check between the "cushions" and such. I think my most likely place of losing it was getting out of the car in the parking lot (coat grabbing the light's clip). I did look around the area this morning, but like I said the plow has been through the area.

Thats a shame, hope it shows up before you order a replacement. I’ve lost two of my edc lights. The first was a jetbeam ba10 that I lost in the snow in front of my parents house. When I came back a few weeks later after it had all melted it was still there and still worked just fine, but I had already ordered a replacement.
My other lost edc was a convoy s4 (t6-4c) that I lost on a search in the jemez mountains the same month I got it. I ordered a replacemt and still edc the same light, but now its on a cobra stitched paracord lanyard with a metal ring on one side that clips into a carabiner that holds my keys to my pants and a s-biner on the other end that connects to a small split ring on the light so I can easily disconnect it for use.
I’d love to find that s4 and see if it still works

I really liked the D25A mini as my EDC. It had PWM which I don’t like but that gave it great tint which I do like, and it had the newer XP-G2 in it. It was a no brainer giving it to my sister because my truck broke down and she paid her mechanic to drive over and spend 8 hours working on it so I could get home in time for work on Monday. I asked if there were anything I could do for her, and she pointed to my flashlight.

So I definitely miss it, but I’m torn between another D25A or an SC52W. Oh well, in the meantime I’ll rough it with the SRT3, which is awesome but kind of bulky.

Sorry to hear Garry. I went looking in the car park here and could not find it. I’ll send it back if I see it. :frowning:

Definite flashaholic right there!

Hey Garry, THANK YOU for being the 1st replying to my thread.

I REALLY feel your pain.

A few days ago, I lost a “pen” 25cal single shot Derringer.
I used it for show more than anything else.
I don’t know what made me get it out for fresh air.
No one to show it to either.
I carry way more powerful weapons.
Even my knives are more effective.

My loss is irreparable. No chance in hell to find another.

I cried (no tears) for like 2 days. And looked 100’s of times in the SAME places.

I’m over it now. Everything happens for a reason.

There’s always someone more screwed than you.

Carlos.

I just got convoy s2 host  nice tube light even with leftover xml2 t6 3c and hls pwm driver… waiting for t5 80+cri led and qlite from intl, then it will be one of my favorites
I feel your pain but hey, you can upgrade if it doesn’t show up!

If you carry the light every day then the chances are great that it will eventually get lost. I lost my Thrunite T10 AA flashlight. It was a nice EDC light that packs a small punch in light output.

I FOUND IT!!! I must have dropped it while snow blowing my driveway. The snowblower must have picked it up and tossed it! It's really knicked up with a nasty slice off the front bezel, but I picked it up, clicked it on and it works perfectly. I think I heard the angels in heaven rejoicing when I spotted it!

Here's pic showing the worst of the damage:

It looks worse than this pic shows, not awful, but I'm going to have to file down some sharp edges where the knicks are.

congrats on finding it, looks pretty okay for going through a snow blower, i can imagine a lawnmower chopping it in half (which would make for an interesting photo)

i’m surprised the lens is not damaged

And now you know that it really is yours.

Congrats! You’re a very lucky man!
You should give the light an upgrade for doing so well.

Great you found it, not so great condition though.

I was just thinking. I had an unprotected 18650 inside. Going through the snowblower could have really made for an exciting situation!

A true testament to the durability of these Convoy hosts! Why would I need a SureFire EDC? I'd just have been out much more money and more ticked off that it was lost!
