Have you seen this type of counterfeit 18650 battery before? UltraFire

You just megahurtzed me from laughing. :_(

I like the frequency of your posts.

Your transmission is breaking up, you need another repeater station

Not surprisingā€¦ They do the same thing with AA and AAA for a very long timeā€¦

Nearly all chinese made cells dont even work well as slingshot ammo. Their average density is to light to provide any kinetic energy downrange.

They work quite well as rifle targets though.

Just fill the hollow point with mercury before firing?

When i was a noob in the lithium ion world i bought several of these batteries,

now i want to dispose of them safely how do i do this in the UK

They tested 700ma on hobby charger. When cut I was disappointed not to find a miniature cell or white powder, just a plain low capacity cell. No matter how hard I shook it, the other missing 3300ma were never found along with vent or PTC. Over and under charge protection were also clearly printed on wrapper in engrish, lol.

@ Pilchman; Do you not have battery disposal stations at schools or big box stores like Lowes or across the pond equivalent?

Not that i know of, we have a council run dump in the area they might take them.

Giving it to friends ? >)

Its not THAT dangerous, thousand of people use them daily.

Thank for that Comfychair will pop them by tomorrow (about 8 miles away)

Maybe even those that know these cells can't be real at 4000mAh 4800mAh 5800mAh, still hope for 3000mAh or something. Vent and protection circuit are like on different plane.

My very first light, 502B, came with these instead of the red wrapper 3000ma shown. I knew nothing and did not do my homeworkā€¦

If your 18650s donā€™t weight 47-48 grams then you probably should toss them out. Thats the average weight of a legit 18650 cell, bet the ultraultrafires is like 20 grams

Latest type of CN fake, German Certification, TUV ThĆ¼ringen 4800mAh

Even at 2C (9.6A) the voltage stay high, at 90% of the capacity the cell is at 3.3V

WRT Amazon destrying counterfeit inventory from their fulfillment centres it might get a bit interesting if they try to destroy Lion cells supplied by some fraudster or other.

Just saw these on amazon wonder if the are fake too

One review says:

"I have to say that these batteries drain quicker than my bathwater!!! They are ok maybe for absolute emergencies but not as your main battery rotation. My olight m21 has one and a half hours on max power with nitecore battery, however these only give ten minutes..... Enough said chaps."

Others are happy with their product.
