Yezl M7X vs Ultrafire XM-L P60 "lumens" measurements (crazy!)

ceiling bounce, whole ceiling is even)

Yezl M7X P60 host XM-L. OP. Lux reading 32 lux <- Reading taken at 60s mark. Initial 35 lux.

Ultrafire XM-L P60, Solarforce L2T. OP. 18 lux <- Reading taken at 60s mark. Initial lux 28 lux. P60 is wrapped with aluminum foil and coated lightly with heatsink compound.

Yezl takes in 2.6A. Ultrafire XM-L P60 takes in 2.8A. Solarforce V2 18650.

Sorry, I myself was taken aback by the readings.

Bumping old post.. How do you feel about this light after a few months? How's the PWM on low mode? Mode memory good? I have a Yezl T9 and the mode memory is perfect, PWM on low is real bad though.. How does this one compare?

PWM freq is 489Hz. So amongst budget lights it's one of the fastest, with the exception of iTP which actually is not too budget but still in the budget realm. (iTP has pretty high PWM, prob 1.5kHz or so)

All those Ultrafire stuff usually hangs in the 200Hz region.

The body is not perfect though, the cuts are somewhat rough but seriously if you really use any budget lights, by the end of 3-4 weeks you would have a lot of usage pattern/marks on it. If you want a shelf queen, get a Fenix TK21-U.

Mode memory is good. 0.5s to memorise, < 0.5s changes mode.

Cigar ring and clip can be taken out, for easy pocket carry.

It is an extremely solid torch, feels really solid and unbreakable. 150g weight.

Thanks for the info! Looks like I just might have to pick one of these up...

I wonder if its bezel blocks less light? Does your Solarforce L2T bezel block any light, or does the Yezl for that matter? I know Old4570 is big against light-blocking bezel ‘lumen reducers’.

Also, a friend not too long ago ordered one of the famous Manafont-purchased Ultrafire 3-mode XM-L drop-in. His was clearly brighter than my 2 (purchased when it was a newer product), even with his lower quality “flame” ~fire battery (I had a fresh gray Panasonic NCR-swapping our batteries didn’t change anything). He also won the tint lottery with his (and mine was already good). We didn’t measure the draw of his. Mine would pull a little over 3 amps, so I imagine much more could in fact dim the LED, so I didn’t think the difference was current. I came to the conclusion that maybe XM-L runs are just brighter now. But that doesn’t answer the question here. About when were your 2 items above purchased?

That is an impressive (and surprising) difference, especially since the reflector is Orange Peel style. Wow.

My Ultrafire P60 was purchased in April. I think both lights block about the same amount of light, in terms of bezel depth.

My Solarforce XP-G also drops quite a bit but does not dive like this. Dereelight P60s do not have the outer spring, think that helps a fair bit. I forgot if the light would without the external spring though, will go try.

It could be that the LED emitter to pill interface is not as good, excerbated by the inherent heat transfer properties of P60.
