Well I haven’t been very active for the last few weeks but I have come back and stumbled upon the new Thrunite TN35 which I am surprised hasn’t really been discussed yet. Which I assume is because it is essentially a TN31 with an MT-G2 so not overly new… (Only found one thread and it just mentioned it).
Whilst I already have an XM-L2 TN31 and TN30 and an SX25L3. I am actually quite excited about this new offering from Thrunite. I have always been happy with Thrunite products and if this is literally a TN31 with an MT-G2 emitter, for me that is a match made in heaven! haha
Will it be possible to do the same mods to the TN35 as is done on the TN31 e.g. resistor mods etc?
It is a brand new model (I think they just “recicled” TN31) not many places sale it. As mentioned by ChibiM, Johnnymac received one recently so we expect review soon : -)
I thought Thrunite would have designed the light from the ground up.It’s kind of disappointing that they didn’t,just threw new driver and emitter in it.This seems like it build be driven harder too,I’m waiting for Johnny’s review.
I took a few pictures to show you the beam of TN35 compared to TN32.
As you know TN32 is the superthrower in the TN series lights. TN35 is not meant for superthrower and it’s not needed.TN35 gives very nice neutral white beam with bigger hotspot due to the bigger LED,but still has quite enough throw. The light gives great color rendering.

Hope you like the pictures and I will not provoke the start of spamming for other brands as happened on the other forum.I just like to show you more of the lights,no matter from which brand they are. Thanks
Not yet. I have the light just from a day,but tried it at about 250m in the city and it is pretty good. Very useful beam. Too bad it’s foggy weather here and I can’t see the full performance of the beam. But the building across the street saw it well
