Have not done any real tests of my Amphibia but I really like both the look and feel of it though next time before taking pics I will polish it funny how good the camera is at showing up dust and marks from greasy fingers!
Looks good, I wonder IF internal capacitor can be replaced with rechargeable battery and THEN internal SMD led added, yeah, too much to ask, but battery mod should be doable :D!
Ezark, can you take it apart to see how it looks in this regard?
Actually hes just put it on once (when I gave it to him) and wears the old F-91W I gave him ages ago when his watch broke.
I think most negative display mods look bad as the digits are too thin (the few I’ve seen anyway), the module out of the green one with the black display would be nice but I wont be buying one.
I don’t have it anymore but if I get the chance I could pull the module out and take some pics.
I had this picture taken for a different thread. Two birds with one stone! I've been a fan of Citizen watches and this one has become my daily. (Under UV light)
Got one of these today for $17 shipped. I have some expensive watches, but I tend to wear them only on special occasions. This is perfect for an EDC. Cheap, decent looking, and analog which prefer over digital anyday of the week..
Yes and no. They are technically less accurate than quartz movements but usually more consistent, which some people say is better. Mine usually loses about a minute a month on the dot. But I change watches like socks so I have to set my autos every time I go back to them. That’s why I’ve been looking at the Seiko solar versions, though I don’t mind setting a watch I like. This is one I like. I’m also a big fan of Citizen Eco Drive.
If you guys interested this is a diver’s watch to buy without breaking the bank. Citizen NY2300 with Miyota 8200 inside. Unlike most Seiko watches with 7S26/36 inside this has hand-winding feature which can only be found in medium/high end Seiko(s).
