Wrist watches. Post pics, if you EDC one!

I had this picture taken for a different thread. Two birds with one stone! I've been a fan of Citizen watches and this one has become my daily. (Under UV light)

Got one of these today for $17 shipped. I have some expensive watches, but I tend to wear them only on special occasions. This is perfect for an EDC. Cheap, decent looking, and analog which prefer over digital anyday of the week..

I use a galaxy gear…pretty sweet

That pip-boy is cool!

I have this Seiko in my shopping cart. I’ve been wanting to see what Seiko’s version of the Eco Drive is like.

That Seiko 5 is nice. Camping out on my wish list on Amazon is this Seiko 5.

I love my Seiko 5. You can still get the model I have for about $50 on Amazon.

I bought these automatic Seiko's several years ago. Great watches, although I don't wear them too often.

Do they keep their time well?

No where near as accurate as a quartz watch. They average 10 to 15 seconds a day fast. Although they can be adjusted for better accuracy.

Yes and no. They are technically less accurate than quartz movements but usually more consistent, which some people say is better. Mine usually loses about a minute a month on the dot. But I change watches like socks so I have to set my autos every time I go back to them. That’s why I’ve been looking at the Seiko solar versions, though I don’t mind setting a watch I like. This is one I like. I’m also a big fan of Citizen Eco Drive.

Here’s mine, and I plan to get more Seiko 5’s:

If you guys interested this is a diver’s watch to buy without breaking the bank. Citizen NY2300 with Miyota 8200 inside. Unlike most Seiko watches with 7S26/36 inside this has hand-winding feature which can only be found in medium/high end Seiko(s).

Ooh nice. I didn’t know Citizen made automatics.

Yes they are but their movements (Miyota) also being supplied to other companies like Invicta, Laco and others.

A watch thread here too?
My watch problem is was could be worse than my flashlight addiction. I have so many watches. I haven’t bought one in a while though… hopefully this thread doesn’t stir that up!
I don’t currently even wear a watch daily, I didn’t want to destroy one at work, so I have gotten used to not having one on.
I have a couple Citizens, a Seiko, a few Disel, a couple Swatches, and a bunch of other random ones most of them are dead and need new batteries.

I have a great home for them!

Ordered this one on ebay for $25.18. It a Timex Weekender #T2N757. I really like the style, and it's cheap enough not to worry about scratches, etc. It's small at 36mm. Has an 18mm navy blue leather band which I plan to replace with a khaki nylon band..

Very “clean” looking. What’s the advertised battery life? Wonder how long it’s been in storage/shelf. Is it easy to change/replace the wrist band? How much is the nylon band? Can the battery be easily replaced, that is, is the cover open easily, not requiring a special tool?

One ebay ad:
All Watches sold by Watchgrabber have a 1 year limited warranty.
This warranty does not cover batteries, leather straps, or crystals,

From what I've read, the battery is supposed to last 10 years. The back snaps on which isn't hard to remove. The band is easily replaced. I ordered one from here for 12.99. I already bought one for another watch I have. It's nice quality.
