Sorry for the off-topic, but you know your Zebralight can also start in Low (several low available), if you do a ~0,6s press on the switch? It can even start on medium if you do a longer press (the light will switch on in low then go to medium) Wink
My Zebralight H31fc is currently my favourite EDC…hope the Sparks will replace it!

I did not know that (it’s not in the manual). Unfortunately, the low is too low for most of my applications. At least I learnt something!

Switch your light in low, then double click on the swicth to access the Low n°2. And if the low n°2 still doesn’t suit your needs, you can also program it by switching to low n°1 (by double click), then by 6 (or 7, don’t remember) double click, you should have access to 3 possibilities (double click after the 6 or 7 double click to switch between the different low).
If one of these suits you, than switch off the light (simple click) and it will be memorized. After that you’ll have the choice of the low n°1 plus the “low you programmed” by double clicking when in low. This applies to all modes I think, at least on latests Zebra.

Any chance Stanley might lower the minimum units req’d? Wallbuy’s promo on the Spark lights ends on May 3rd. A lot of us would prefer to buy from HKequipment but I can see some of the people committed to this GB jumping ship on May 3rd.

Put me down for a NW SF5. I’ve been toying with the idea of getting a Zebralight SC52w, but this might do the trick instead (unless someone can point me to a great deal on the Zebralight).

But this effort is proceeding slowly and I wont wait forever, so I reserve the right to purchase something else in the meantime (if I do, I’ll report back here immediately).

Do you have an SF5 as well? If so I’d be interested in any thoughts you might have about how build quality and usability differs between the two.

Right now I’m leaning towards the Zebralight, in spite of its higher price because:

1) I have an SC600 and it is quite simply my favourite flashlight. I love it to death and consequently I have warm fuzzy feelings about the company who made it
2) the sc52 has a 500 lumen turbo mode when running on Li-Ion, which might come in handy occasionally. But aside from practical considerations, it has that whole “a light this small has no business being this bright” thing going for it. In the parlance of the car enthusiast, it’s a sleeper.

Thanks jmpaul! I find myself deliberating on buying from wallbuys now as well, as it is $42.99-$44 right now on sale from them. If you were to get hkequipment to make us a deal we can't refuse, then I'm all for it. As it's looking though, I'm watching very closely to see which is the better deal in the end. Wallbuys deal ends on the 3rd, so hopefully hke will provide a better deal before then, or I will just purchase the SG3 through wallbuys instead, as I'm not sure about us hitting 25 people in this GB.

I do agree with TomasVarnik, and say if hke can do $40, that would surely seal the deal for me, and I'm sure most people as well :)
