Hi Guys!
I got a Sunwayman F40A from banggood and want to share a few pictures and thoughts…
13 days after “shipped” i got a nice cardboardbox:
the light ist very safe in there!
it comes with a diffusor, a lenyard, 2 O-rings, operating manual in english and chinese (i guess) and warranty card
the lens is AR coated and everything is clean
the F40A is smaller than i imagined!
anodisation and laser engraving are first class
weight: 284g with 4 Eneloops
Batteries are 4S0P
the Batterieholder is made just right - nothing rattles!
the Threads are square and slightly lubed
the XM-L2 is well centered
also the colorLEDs are sitting nice in their “minireflectores”
ookay - most of them…
the colored LEDs have a uneven Beam
5cm distance (yes - 1 of the reds has had a loose contact)
20cm distance
50cm distance
20cm distance
50cm distance
last but not least: 2 Gifs from 1m distance…
with diffusor
without diffusor

UI
the two side-switches are easy to click (maybe a little to easy)
the light has last mode memory
pushing both buttos for 1sec toggles lock-out (light strobes 1sec)
●white:
klick [on/off] > starts in last stored white
[mode] > white goes from turbo-high-medium-low
doubleclick [on/off] activates strobe (from on and off)
doubleclick [mode] activates SOS (only from on)
holding [mode] when off > firefly
●color:
holding [on/off] > starts in last color mode
[mode] > white goes from red - blue - red/blue flashing - red/white/blue flashing
.
conclusion
i was impressed from the very good build quality and the nice touch.
it fits just right in my hand and my pockest do not rip appart when i carry the light.
in the lower modes i can hear some whining - but i dont see PWM!
.
-> I like the light - and even my wife says “that thingie is very cool!”
