I agree, very nice light. But a bit pricey even with the code for a AA light at ~ 220 lumens.

Great review. Looks like they made some headway in the design department.
Did you notice any PWM when using the light? I am somwhat sensitive to it and earlier the Skilhunt brand lights were renovned to have very visible PWM regulation.

Thanks for the review. Looks like a nice light. I didn’t see if you mentioned whether it has a soft lockout, or some UI feature to lock the switch out so it doesn’t come on in your pocket. Though it looks like it does have tail cap lockout.
Is there a neutral or warm tint version? Plans for a Ti or enthusiast version?

I use the Tail cap lockout. I think there is no other blockage. But it does not turn easily.
It would be good idea to warm or neutral tint…. I do not know if skilhunt will release a new version. I will ask them.

just one thing, you say that the light is 'quite compact' and then do a photo-comparison to some of the most bulky AA-lights out there ;-) . IMO it is rather fat and long actually for its battery size, not much smaller than some of the more compact 18650 flashlights. and that is why it does not appeal to me much, a 18650 battery powered light of similar size will give way better runtimes (like 4x), and/or better output.
i found right now this model…sadly,without clip…but it can be added from blf edition flashlites:)

probably i can change the driver with the fet driver and it could be again powerfull flashlite.this stock looks not very bright…
Why without clip? This model (DS20) includes the series clip in the package.
Now I will prefer DS21 (900 lumens)
