TK70 @ MF
Sorry but I don't find much excitement in that, everyone carries them. Now IF they would carry the TK70S Thailand edition, then I'd buy it :)

No problem, drop thaipowerlight.com an email. The issue is getting good Li Co for that. No info is available on those Kaidomain or similar 5000mAh cells though. If we get like those Bestinone quality then no issue, but if you are unlucky then you could get only 2500-3000mAh capacity. This is basically a 40W regulated light. So operating with 2 x 18650 league batts is not really that good, it would really draw up to 6A during ending stage.
Another thing is with 2 cells only, you'd need to hold the light all the way as close as possible at the heatsink area so as to balance the centre of gravity out. Even then there is slight pressure on the wrist. As a pro-photographer who holds up to 2kg gear sometimes (i use a wrist strap to less the strain...2kg is actually light as I operate light so none of those battery grips or anything), doing that for more than 20 mins is pretty uncomfortable. Doing it for long is not recommended, for i actually do get painful ligaments and joints due to wear and tear, at my mid-30s age i am already on glucosamine.
You can do the normal TK70 with 3 NiMH (no extender). Just no turbo for very long.
I'm afraid thaipowerlight.com is not helpful or do they seem to want to sell any product. I emailed them 2 weeks ago, was told promptly what it would cost, since then I've emailed them back 3 or 4 times asking for a total with ems shipping to the usa and how long would it take to dispatch it, along with requesting their paypal info for payment. This all has seem to fall on death ears, I guess they really don't have any in-stock.

I’ve got two of the KD 32600 (unprotected) and that’s what mine do. I don’t have the graphs on hand, but I’ll probably to a full test sometime down the road.
Looks like thaipowerlight has no stock or wants to sell it at a very good price. heh heh.... You can get the TK70 at usd183 shipped as a first time customer from HKequipment. If you buy a bunch of stuff i guess it could be a bit lower even. But seriously, I just tried it, with the extender+tailcap taken out and 2 NiMH in the tube (very close to TK70S weight distribution), it is not very natural if you need to raise it to point and it slants forward 30 deg. The only comfortable position is with your hands totally straight in a resting state beside your body.
Some of them wanted to try TK50's 2 D tube with this and Li Co, not sure what's the outcome. HKJ did a test with the TK70 but up till 8V only I think...
Mitro, that's good! So KD is the place to get. There are so many sources for these, you'd never know what would you be getting and at over 30 bucks a pair for generics it is not cheap. It will be useful info. The BIO IMR 26650 3500mAh is just 14.88/pr shipped with registered mail.
BTW, someone measured the Tenergy LSD Centura LSD 8000mAh to be 8901mAh.....holds voltage better than the AccuEvolutions.

I still have my year 2005 3 x luxeon with me. Runs on 3 x D and is still in operation and it just went to my in-laws in Indonesia. Absolutely no issue during real emergencies or long stretches of power interruptions. For those with SR90/91/92 etc...good luck and also in ensuring the pack is still available 6/12 years later. iTP is the subsidiary of Olight. I mean of course you can get new lights for a few hundred bucks again, but it's really up to you. :)
That's exactly why I won't buy a SR90/91/92.
For the Ebay/Aliexpress HIDs, the light is cheap enough, and seriously you can just get another 3S3P pack for standby for 40 bucks shipped (for me, I think add $10 for USA). Potential pipe bomb in theory though, in reality it has been working reliably enough for several units and several hundreds of cycles.
I think someone might just do up a tube that takes 32600 x 2 for the TK70. Hope it may happen in CPF, there is interest. You can use LiFePO4 and enjoy the ultra-safe chemistry, and not burn up the driver.
The Fandyfire STL-V6/Sky Ray STL-V2 pumps out exactly 3 times less lumens than the TK70, in a reflected enclosed ceiling/wall test. This is "OTF" relative comparison and is inclusive of lens/reflector/driver losses. The STL-V6 is a 2-cell light, and draws 1.3A with fully charged 4.2V XTAR/Panasonic/Solarforce batts, not sure how much is the loaded battery.
I wonder if some of the TK70 owners can maybe just add some of their expertise here. I want to get this flashlight for my folks who live in a slightly more rural part of South africa so a light that can pump out a lot of light is very beneficial to them. The issue here is battery choices.
How does the light perform with normal alkaline batteries..? What other "off the shelf" battery options are available for this light...?
