Hi guys whats the next size up from a rcr123 ? i've got a solarforce l2m ( the mini one) but i dont like the switch that comes with it so i got a normal clickie one but the battery doesn't make contact.. i'm using a magnet for now but would prefer a better option.

I think you are stuck with a Cr123 in that, you might try just stretching the spring out.
Did you buy the Solarforce switch for it?
You might be able to adjust the switch by moving it closer to the battery by using a washer.
18500? I really doubt that is going to fit though.

yeah i got a new solarforce tail cap didn't like the tactical one.
The battery tube is wider than a 123 and the tube is about 10mm longer than a un protected cell.
an 18650 is about an inch too long..
18350 will definitely fit. It is longer than the Solarforce 16340. Both are in front of me. Fits L2m like a glove. Also it is higher than stated capacity (it is nearly 1000mAh) and able to do nearly 3 amps with the direct drive P60s. I don't see how even AW IMR can win this one.

It is a 18350, same diameter as my 18650s. And the height is 35mm.
Protected 16340's are not 34mm tall.
It goes the same way, you need to put a blob of solder on the 18350, without it its already 35mm. The Solarforce 16340 that i have are actually 34mm tall with the +ve included nipple. http://www.solarforce-sales.com/product_detail.php?t=BC&s=23&id=84
Seriously where did you see longer protected 16340s? Trustfire? I have a pair but never notice them being really long.
How about one of the plastic battery tube plugs from an Ultrafire 501/502? Failing that a plastic disc with a pop-rivet in the centre should do the trick nicely.
