little help plz - SF L2T bad switch ? forward clicky with multimode dropin ??

not sure where the best place to post this

so i got my new L2T and i do not have my dropins yet ...

i figured i would test continuity after reading the SF XPG dropin post , well the LP has a forward clicky also when i depress both slighty i get continuity , the L2T after the click has none while the other one does maintain continuity , i tested a reverse clicky it maintain a circuit

this is certainly a bad switch right ???? i dont have my dropins yet from MF but still, should i wait or email SF

2nd issue - very disappointed to hear forward clickies have issues with multimode droppins

i put the good forward clicky on a two mode light and it would not cycle the modes !!

any advice to fix that

thank you for your help

I have 3 L2Ts , and none have an issue , - but it can happen ..

Bad switch ? Could be , If you can check the retainer ring - see if its tight . [ Without a first hand inspection ? ]

ok

i grabbed a couple spacers and clicked it a few more times , it actually came around ... weird. maybe needed a little working in.

thank for the reply , have you found a work around using a forward clicky with multi mode dropins , i am waiting for MF 3 mode xml

thx again for you thoughts

I'm not sure what your question is? There is no problem (in general) with forward clickies and multi-mode lights. Some people don't like using forward clickies with multi-mode lights because once clicked on they can't change modes without clicking the light off first.

I prefer them but just realize that I have to choose the mode before I click it on (or turn it off when I want to change modes). I like them for the momentary feature.

If you have a bad switch that's another matter of course.

Im not sure in what regard ..

If its just that its a forward clicky - you might be able to swap in a regular Solarforce L2 switch

If its that some may have a small momentary glitch that changes modes on you as you turn it on - Not really - other than swapping out the drop in or switch ...
