Thanks MRsDNF! Just scored 2 x 8 packs of the new chocolat eneloops for just $34.98 delivered :) Bargain.

We’re all ozbargain enthusiasts i see haha. Very good deal on those batteries. If only I had some AA devices to use them in.

Had to staple my mouse finger to the desk for the chocy Eneloops. Very pretty, but I have so many in reserve.

Further to FmC’s Asus batt pack buy which I picked up.
I’ve just bought the Opus BT-C3100 charger after I read the group buy thread here on BLF.
Got it for AU $46 with tracking (GearBest) and came pretty fast (2 and a half weeks).
I have a Xtar WP-6 but was interested in a charger that can give me more info for 18650’s.
The batts I broke out of the Asus pack are reading around 2670mAh.
Excellent and another toy to play with.

Yeh they’re good value for money. Ihave to sus out my cells further as one of them drains about .05v ahead of 2 others in a 3s torch. I think the internal resistance on these is a touch on the high side too.

It looks like all the new eneloops being sold in Australia are made in China. I don’t think that’s a problem with the same QC in a similar factory, but the new eneloops are being advertised as 65% retention after 5 years, instead of 70%. Without any measurements, it’s up in the air whether these new ones are actually worse, or just labelled differently.

The majority of Eneloops seem to be sitting on people’s shelves still in the pack, so a 5% difference is a drop in the ocean!

…I have many Eneloop’s in reserve (AA’s and AAA’s), they get cycled around pretty often due to kids toys, computer mice/keyboards, etcera, etcera, etcera.

Its only my Eneloop XX’s that family know are off-bounds - explicitly for my EA4 and DA-40.
(Mum, Dad is weird - Yes he is dear, I don’t know why he needs so many torches!)

BTW - I also have a couple of sets Vapex 2900mAh AA’s from here - www.electronicswarehouse.com.au
but really come up more like 2200-2300mAh on my Powerex C-9000 (which I also got from them a few years ago).

I also have to say I have a few Energiser AA’s (2450mAh), bought from a large food corporation, which have lasted forever and are true to power claim (using the Powerex to refresh).

On a different note, my Poplite H6 headlamp died recently - anyone have any favs/thoughts. Going camping soon and they are handy.

Energizer Lithium Ultimate primarys, both AA and AAA -
packs of 4 for $16.00 at Coles this week.

This one is on again :http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Eneloop-Tones-UOMO-8-x-AA-Rechargeable-NiMH-LSD-Batteries-/251590451848?pt=AU_Electronics_Batteries_Chargers&hash=item3a93f5a288

$19.98 + P&P

I managed to get two lots last time

3D LED Maglite @ Masters for $29.

Thanks EF. I'll have to check it out. I've only been to Masters once.

At our local Bunnings:
Literacy tourchure:

I saw those today, I returned the Dolphin LED I had picked up the other day, useless it was. Tight beam (tiny LED), laser like with limited throw considering, and not much flood for a large light.

Yes, I can’t bring myself to buy another.
In fact that was the reason that led me to BLF. (pun intended.)

THanks for keeping this place going guys! I just jumped on the ozbargain xiaomi deal. Good deal!

FUJITSU AA NiMH, 4 Pack $9.98

http://www.dicksmith.com.au/batteries/fujitsu-ready-to-use-rechargeable-nimh-aa-1-2v-battery-4pce-pack-dsau-s4633

No capacity mentioned :~

Cheers David

They have been tested somewhere here though, and were as good as any other nimh, I think they are made at the same place as loops.

Yep 1900mah: Test/Review of Fujitsu AA HR-3UTA 1900mAh (White)

Its a convoluted history, but basically Twicell makes them all. Fujitsu is closer to being the original than the others as Fujitsu bought the Twicell battery factory when Sanyo was sold to Panasonic as part of some FCC deal. Or something like that.

Did a google on them and yup only one capacity, and not a high one at that :~ strange.
Good catch Ejected Filament

Cheers David
