$37.99 for Opus BT-C3100 V2.1 with OP3100 ( clearance) & $38.99 for Opus2.2 without using the coupon @GearBest

Yes, I just tried the coupon code and it’s $39, but should be $36 as stated in the OP. We’ll have it checked tomorrow as it’s 9:39pm now in Shenzhen, office is closed.

Do we know if the fan is quieter now? He says there's a new fan cover, but does that effect the noise?

Henry Xu sent me two pre-production samples of the v2.1.
Pic below is the pre-production v2.1 (notice the 2.1 upon start-up on the screen). The pre-production version does not have the new logo of OPUS on the current production version printed on the upper right of the charger casing, and can be seen in the OP.
!!
Below is the Charge capacities of the same cells I tested in the v2.0, this time the v2.1 on the left powered by a 15A regulated PSU and the v2.1 on the right powered by the stock psu. Notice the very small differences between the readings from the 15A psu and the Stock PSU. which was one of the issues of the earliest version of the 2.0, but was later on corrected in the later 2.0 deliveries as mentioned by Henry Xu.
!!
Below are the Discharge readings using the stock psu, to be compared to the small variances to the Charge readings on the pic above.

I have also tested a purple Samsung ICR18650-28 4.35v cell. Unfortunately I can no longer find the pic but I can confirm that it was charged to 4.35v in 3:39 hour to 2789mah,
2:49 hrs. to 2799mah in Discharge mode
which was one of the major gripes in the 2.0 for having a very long charging time when 4.35v charging is selected.

Also the fan was more reactive to temperature changes, turning on and off as needed.

Yes, the fan is quieter on the 2.1, and as pointed out to Henry, you will notice that the new fan now has three-leg bracket for a more rigid fan protection against mis-alignment against the shroud.

!!

Will this have UL/CE logo and reference number?

I doubt it would make it quieter based on cover alone. IT was the fan itself that was making the noise i think.

Henry has mentioned about a new lubricant in one of his previous posts in the gb thread but I can’t find it now. He has been aware of the fan noise complaints.

Think going to order this with batteries. What’s the difference between the blue and red 26650 6000mah tangsfire batteries?

Not only the charger, the power plug does also show a CE logo.

If you are to source your 26650 cells from Gearbest, better take the Soshine brand of 26650 batteries. Tangsfire brand are relatively of unknown quality.

When is Gearbest going to get proper batteries?

The internal switch has 3 selections: 3.7V, 4.2V and 4.35V, and all bays will be affected according to the chosen terminal voltage selection in charge mode. Its default is 4.2V

Just so we’re clear, this means that the promotion is not just for the first 100 pieces but for the first shipment of version 2.1?

Thanks to you and all the others who brought this to this point. I’ve been lurking for awhile and definitely on the fence with the earlier versions, but this one sounds like it might a winner. I still want to wait for HKJ’s review though…

Thanks again!

They should have improved this issue!

Took the bait!

Could they use a key lock switch? That would be much more convenient than disassembling the charger each time and prevent accidents as well as an internal switch. I have no idea if it would be economically feasible but I'd be much more likely to buy a charger I didn't have to disassemble every time I wanted to charge a different type cell.

I’m sure the switch has 4 legs to it, a common power and three grounds for each position. O’Reilly’s [or any good hardware store] should have at least one multi-position rotary switch. Finding space for it might be interesting, it would require some fine soldering, but it could be made to work.

Hello NobleX13,

Thanks fro your notice, the 2.0 coupon has been fixed, the right one is: GB3100, at $36
