banggood F40A group buy thread

Thanks

@M4D M4X You got PM.

you too

best price !

I ended up ordering the even newer F30R. Same diameter but shorter at 91mm and it takes three Cr123A or 16340 batteries. I wanted the more compact length as all other specifications are listed as the same. Illumination Supply has the new light in stock and their BLF discount code is giving 15% off of their normal price on it.

did you pay the 74,99?

you can find the code on my blog

$76.41 + shipping as total before discount was under $100. However I will have it on Monday or Tuesday as IS is only about 250 miles away. I saw the GB price for the four AA version before I ordered mine.

what would one do with a red/blue/white light flashlight?

Red is good for retaining night vision though this light sounds like the red is bright enough so it may actually be a bit on the bright side if used w/o the included diffuser. Amateur astronomers are major users of red flashlights or filters. Blue light is used by hunters and criminal investigators to aid in finding blood traces or following blood trails in poor light or at night.

Some hunters use high power red LED lights for night hunting where legal as many animals are blind to red light.

As I know, colored LEDs are useful when hunting and fishing, many company are releasing colored flashlights

I just recieved a F40A, its a great light, but i may swap the Blue LEDs to either UV LEDs or warm white.
The red LEDs are great for night map reading or use to help keep night vision, (dimmed with the use of the diffuser) and warm LEDs in place of the blue would be better for use as a night camp light or lantern with the diffuser, or UV LEDs for the night Geocaching that i do, either way it makes this light more versatile for what we use lights for.

nice - I hope there will be a worklog

pardon my sleepiness tonight :stuck_out_tongue: - what is a worklog ? as in mod topic ?

yes - as usual in the mod section…

I understand a worklog as kinda step by step pictures which document your work.

ok will do once i recieve the LEDs i have on order fro it.

Good afternoon, first of all I appreciate the full review and the assessments that followed. I need to ask a question. Yesterday I reached my Sunwayman F40A and after a while you use it and test me off by itself. When this happens not turn over. I have to unscrew the battery cover and re-tighten (A manual reset mode) and there restarted. I tried to see if it responds to a pattern accidentally touch keys, but no. Not much logic. Today I returned to light and long time stays on, when I start to change modes there is a moment that goes out and must return to unscrew the battery cover and re-tighten (which manual reset) and then returns to work … … :frowning:
Any ideas or suggestions? You have some electronic failure?
Thank you very much!

good luck with that. My F40 failed too, ( as did all three other Sunwayman lights i had. I have had no good luck with Sunwayman lights, they all had problems and sunwwaman refused to help me or fix these under warranty. I recommend avoiding Sunwayman at all costs, their drivers & Quality control are trash and very unreliable.

Thank you very much for your answer DBSAR!
