Might be a bit too big given the OP's likely use. But the Yezl XM-L zoom in flood mode might be just right and pocketable.
EDIT: Not sure about the MRV suggested earlier. I don't own an MRV but if the lens is held in by the reflector then taking the reflector out may be a no go.
The problem with the flood to throw lights is that you lose a lot of the light to the optics/mechanism. If an XML p60 isn’t enough, and you can never have enough can you, I would say one of the triple XMLs would work great. OP says he wants 1000 lumens. You are not going to get that from a single XML zoomie. You will not get that from any single XML, that I know of, but you will come close enough that it doesn’t matter.
