Yes it is strange. The one reviewed here is definitely labeled as, "Z1". But there is an identical one on ebay labeled as "Trustfire Z5". Enlarge the picture shown here. Either TF realised their mistake and corrected it on the second batch or one of the two is a fake.
Come to think of it TF may have done the same before. Their are two TF-R2's. One is a P60 host and one is a Dereelight DBS clone and AKAIK both are genuine.
You can find it cheaper on ebay auctions. I won one from cyberport888 for under 40 bucks as a bike kit. Came with the light, a bike mount, two 18650 batteries, a charger, and a taillight shipped for under 40 bucks.
btw, it's a cool little light. Kind of a funky beam profile and the zoom adjustment is a little awkward sometimes but it's fairly bright especially in flood mode. It does lose a little output in spot/throw mode but as a jack of all trades type light I think it's pretty cool.
Hi ...I have this flashlight.... If your want a flashlight for illuminates far don't buy this model. This model is good for close but for far no, even in full zoom mode. I'm not sure if is really 1600 Lumens....i'M not very happy of this flashlight.
I suppose that MC-E won't give any more lumens than this XM-L.
The only "problem" with this torch (Z5) is that throw mode loses quite much light because of quite small lens diameter. Don't get me wrong, otherwise it's GOOD (quality, flood, battery life).
This torch has actually become my go-to flood light. I simply love the bright, wide, uniform flood it gives. And the runtime is good, as assumed.
And if I need a thrower, I can always pick a real thrower like my Fandyfire STL-V6 (Which is GREAT! ~48klux@1m, tailcap current 1.4A)
