One hundred and eighty one bucks get's you big words and web addresses embossed all over the light? Oh, and two threads to hold the tailcap on? No thank you.
181.82 for a AA ?? what exactly are you getting for that , water proof to 200m ??? it doesnt even says on their web site. they prolly made a couple thinking some sucker will bite. i prefer my several hundred dollar torch be made of gold or some other exotic material.
although the dual xml is pretty sweet - i have to make one like that
It is 238$ for a bike light with a very basic (unexpensive) mounting braket that could not be used on a bicycle bar because a "T" mounting bracket is usually needed.
On the other side, the mounting bracket looks like that it could only be tightened on the fins of the head...they need to do their homework to optimize their light to justify such a price...neh ?!!
Wow... why on earth would i want to have 150 lumen for that price if i can have 3000 for half the price :p, but i guess that's why I'm on BLF and not CPF :)
I really like the looks of a few of these but dear god. I agree with the crack in China comment.ridiculous. I wonder if they are all the rage yet on CPF. I think it could go either way over there. They are expensive, but they are made in China so it might be a wash over there. O, also anytime I mention or hear CPF I must give the obligatory "ASS BAITING!!!!!!" That is all.
So thats how they do it... I thought it is a mistake, but no these lamps are avaible in my country for similar prices. It even has a hungarian website FFS. None of the flashlight brands has. And in general you cant find strong lamps locally, so if you not into flashlights, and your favorite bike shop offers this and show you what it is capable of, and you never seen anything like that before, guess what... People will buy it.
Believe me, a flashlight sold 100 $ anywhere else in the world and particulary in China or HK, is more than 100 € in Europe. Dealextreme overprices Ferei flashlights to let customers think that "high price = high quality".
If the price for a Ferei M8 is 59€ in Europe, it probably means that in HK its price is about 40 to 49$...and 3 times the "regular" price on dealextreme.
