Great photography! Nicely done!
I enjoyed the review

Thanks for your compliment. Hope you guys will find the review useful. Currently working on my next favorite flashlight!

Nice review, and the first factory spring bypass I have ever seen! They did a real attempt lowering the electrical resistances in this light :-) . Now if they offered it in brass (for better heat management) I'd be all over it, I like the design very much (and don't like the design of the brass cnqualitygoods AA light)

How come this beautiful torch is out of my radar?
This is awesome

Nice review, seems like a decent little light

Thanks!

Kind of amazed at the spring bypass coming from the factory…they ARE listening

Very nice looking light indeed!!! Modes seem to be well spaced and I like the start on low, only things I don’t like, as you mentioned are the PWM and the lack of grip. Thanks for the great review and great pics!!

I give away a E01

Based on this review I bought one of these.

It’s a nice looking light, and bright, good thrower with a 14500. It gets warm but it has enough mass that you can run it for a good while on high before it gets uncomfortable.

Sadly mine came without a tail clip of any kind and did not have a factory spring mod. Supposedly they are going to send me a tail clip but it’s “back ordered”. Just a heads up.

I don’t find the grip to be a big problem, but it is a shockingly heavy light. Even if I ever get the clip, I doubt I would EDC the light. But it’s a good nightstand light, very classy looking.

Well, they’re listening.

Maybe they screwed up and accidentally sent one through without the mod
Or an old batch and a new batch are coming to buyers, China Lottery style.
Or the reviewer received a modified light meant to perform better than the stock light. That does happen, in any industry (it’s why Consumer Reports buys retail off the shelf, to not be fooled again).

Or … what else?

Time will tell.

nice review, good flashlight but i hate the color ,i wish it was black

Sorry for the absent of spring mod, probably it is left out in latest batch? It is just a 3min job that you can easily DIY ( I assume you have the necessary tools). I agreed that it was surprising heavier than a lot of similar size lights out there. However, you cannot ignore the fact that stainless steel is heavier metal than aluminium.

You can see the same spring bypass in M4D M4X's review too. I doubt it is done deliberately just for the reviewer, as mine has several quality issues (mentioned in the review itself). They could have supplied me a "perfect grade" if they want to fool the readers... but it did not happen.

If you do not like shining finishing, this flashlight is definitely not for you. Yes, I would like to see it in black or other colors too.

The photos and descriptions are spot on.
The use of the protractor for the beam shots is very helpful as well as the graph background.
keep up the good work!
The light is almost a keeper for me if not for the smooth finish as the review states.
I have the Singfire SF-348 and find that light tricky to hold.

For those who like SS design lights, I just finished modding my Goread C46 to XP-G2. I’ve got it from Banggood: http://www.banggood.com/C46-CREE-R2-3-Modes-Mini-LED-Flashlight-1x14500-p-909583.html.
The major pro for the C46 is the sandblasted (matte) finish. No fingerprints! Even the tailcap is made of steel. And of course the price, very moderate for a steel body.
But there are some flaws/cons:

- only 14500 (driver does not boost)

- very little brass pill with small mcpcb (12mm) and even smaller driver (10mm?)

- unreliable switch

- heavy (as all steel lights)

  • no clip/anti roll

Freeme, for e01 110 or 140mm holster?

110mm

Thanks for the nice review

Thanks for your kind words. I have a lot more to learn from you.

It’s not the most interesting review that I’ve seen…
