September Groupbuy in DD

So $62.69 for the V10A is this months deal?? This is BLF, not CPF. We need deals most of us can afford.

How about trustfire X8?

+1 for any ITP or Fenix light. I think they will be more affordable than SWM.

Nope - this month's group buy/deal has not started yet - We have yet to choose what items we want.

In fairness to DD, I think(I may be wrong) they're the only store that allows us to choose items for a group buy - hats off to them, for this, and the deal last month of one budget and one "non-budget" light is a nice format.

I'd get behind a deal on an ITP light or the suggestion of the Trustfire X9 (provided you can beat the $33 e-bay price). Even the discounted price on Sunwayman is more than what I want to spend right now.

As I recall reading earlier in this thread Summer stated that the price on the V10A was currently the lowest she’d be able to do on that Sunwayman and that’s the best price DD could do as it’s currently on a promotional deal that ends shortly and that if we wanted it they might extend that price for one more week.

As to August's deal, there may have been a budget light and a non-budget light but both were selling at budget prices so I fail to see your point on that one. Neither of these Sunwayman lights we have to choose from are budget lights and certainly not budget prices as far we we know.

+1 Trustfire X9

Well, reality is..., many BLF members already have it. But you can always have 3.

+2 for the Trustfire X9

Reality is also that many of us don't have one yet and would love it if the price was super special ($25?? :D).

Maybe some would buy 2.

I will just go by summer's first post

then I'll decide, if it's within my "budget"

+3 for the X9

Man... there's a kind of dilemma with these DD group buys:

1) Do we choose a light that is normally expensive so we can take advantage of a limited price that is somewhat affordable, or

2) Choose a light that is within a "budget" range (price alone) so more people will participate

Is everything in life a dilemma?!

The trouble with the Trustfire X9 is the erratic or poor draw and that it is difficult to mod the driver and especially the emitter.

I suggested (at Post 52 of this thread) another High Quality 57mm headed light that can be used as either 1*18650 or 2*18650. Take a look at the links I posted there inc. 2100's comments on the quality of its body.

I think it would be a better GD than the X9.

I like the Sunwayman offerings posted here but for me they don't offer anything special I couldn't already be satisfied getting with a much more affordable alternative. I like the idea of choosing something normally out of our price range, but these just look like more expensive versions of something that can be achieved at half the price.

My vote goes for either something unique at a higher price or something quality but affordable for everyone.

Will the Trustfire X8 the better option as it is tried and tested?

No, there are some trilemmas in there also!

V10A

But the price will have to be a lot better....

I think most users of the forum have a lot of flashlights, but what about nice batteries. Some people are searching batteries and not only Li-Ion, also AA Ni-MH with low self discharge rate (LSD). Dinodirect offers Eneloops, but they are extremly overpriced: 13,69€ ($18,69) for 4 batteries.

In Germany I pay only 14,09€ for 8 with boxes and I get genuine.

A flashlight, which looks really nice is this one:

But we don't have many information. Which batteries are used (AA or AAA), what kind of LED is built in?

+1 for either Palight t6 or bg-8011c

My vote goes to the Xeno E03 XM-L in T5 neutral or even T4 warm maybe with the diffuser Xeno TW15 included. The Sunwaymans might be too expensive even after a nice discount to generate much interest. The target price after discount should be under $40 (or even under $30) to go with our "budget" theme.
