This thing is bright! The tint is more of warm white. The light is a very nice, smooth and even flood of light! There’s no ‘hotspot’ and for lighting things around everything looks great.
Using it with a powerbank, I can have just enough illumination for the whole room if I do a ceiling bounce! Realised that the light is brighter when powered from a powerbank than from my laptop USB port. I wonder how many lumens it produces.
It draws 0.25A when I tested it with a ChargerDoctor.
My own usage with the smallest Anker powerbank. Nice and handy!
I think a couple of these with a power bank and USB splitter might be useful for macro photos... Flood beam from two different angles should help illuminate and eliminate shadows.
I received one last week.
I’m very satisfied with it, nice light to have.
I also received XTAR UL1 usb light, similar to Xiaomi, but with more options and with flexible metal hose/extender.
mine is genuine from dx… has retail xiaomi package… mi logo over the plastic part of the usb and no switch of course
it has something electronic control inside…
if you plug it to a usb port it lights up… then if you disconnect it and connect again IT WILL NOT power on… you must unplug and plug again to switch it on… thats the normal behviour on genuine ones
