Home Depot Deal Alerts & Discussion Thread

Next time I go to Ohio!
Also there is this deal

10 cells in each pack? I think that incorrect. That works out to about 40 volts?
If they are this”Ryobi 130429002 ONE Plus 18V 3.0-Ah Lithium-ion Battery” than, it should contain 5 cells each.

One package with 2 battery packs should contain 10 cells. That should give you 5 bucks a cells plus tax? If the price is 50 bucks for 2 double packs , than its good. But I fail to see it in the pictures.

They are 5S2P packs. That’s why 2Ah cells, 20R’s, yield 4Ah for the pack. There is definitely 10 cells in each pack.

Wow…… I just wish I can find one around me! But alas I (my area HD’s) never have any luck with these deals.
Thanks for the reply.

Good luck if u open them up, ill check my HD if it ever quit snowing

Holy crap those Ryobi packs for 50 dollars is ridiculous. I want some for my tool, screw taking them apart.

The two packs are still $75 here in TN. I’m watching the HD I go past daily. When they go to $50 I will grab them.

I found a 2 pack of Riggid 12v packs—at my store $35 +tax comes out to be a little over $38 for 2 packs that harvest 12 Samsung 20R—-I’m thinking these will better serve in my 3 or 4 cell lights Hopefully they match them better than just buying singles off the shelf
!! !!
That’s $3.18 a cell
Also they had some Husky combination wrench sets Sae and Metric $10 Great for the work truck or to lend instead of my snap on stuff

I know you know, but did you take them up to scan?

My home store still has the ridgid 12V packs marked at $49 even though they scan at 35. I think the price change guy missed them when he was changing prices. They are located in a strange place. I am hoping nobody buys them and they go down again to $17.52.

Well, you just confirmed what I suspected, these are full of the 20R’s

I put these same packs back yesterday because they were $50—Today at a different store they were on the sale shelf not marked—So for $35 for 2 packs I said what the hoot—couldn’t comprehend how they were 4ah—my mind would only see 3 cells across the bottom—never seen cells in the neck of the pack before—anyway 12 cells for $38 and on my Opus they are testing at 2100-2130mah so far on 4 cells

FYI, here is a pic of the single pack that contains 3 Samsung 13Q’s on the right for 1.3Ah. On the left is an older double pack that contains 6 Samsumg 15M for 3Ah. The single packs can be nice in that they weigh next to nothing at all. But of course they lack any kind of capacity.

Yes I scanned them. I’m going to stop and check them on my way home today to see if they have dropped here yet.

Checked in my local Home Depot for the 2 pack of 4Ah Ryobi batteries and they are gone. Salesman says they sold out at the $75 discount.

Did any of y’all actually open up those Ryobis yet

The Ryobis have the Samsung 20Q, not the 20R. The R is considered a little better.

Checked my HD these are $50.04

Checked New Hartford, NY and no Rigid twin packs in sight.
Might try during the week, one guy that works is real sharp and will have all the info.
He was a Sears tool man his whole life and always pointed out what you should buy and what not to buy.

Thanks, dchomak. Given that they are Qs and not Rs, would you still consider that a good deal? Is it still worth $50?

If you had the choice between getting the 12 20Rs from Ridgid or 20 20Qs from Ryobi (both $50 at my HD, what would you do?

According to the reviews by HKJ, the R’s are slightly better. But maybe that lies within the margin of error for just a few samples? Both will output 20A at full capacity. In a drill pack I don’t think it matters. In something like a flashlight, a little better becomes a “must have”
