Yes I scanned them. I’m going to stop and check them on my way home today to see if they have dropped here yet.
Checked in my local Home Depot for the 2 pack of 4Ah Ryobi batteries and they are gone. Salesman says they sold out at the $75 discount.

Did any of y’all actually open up those Ryobis yet

The Ryobis have the Samsung 20Q, not the 20R. The R is considered a little better.

Checked my HD these are $50.04
Checked New Hartford, NY and no Rigid twin packs in sight.
Might try during the week, one guy that works is real sharp and will have all the info.
He was a Sears tool man his whole life and always pointed out what you should buy and what not to buy.
Thanks, dchomak. Given that they are Qs and not Rs, would you still consider that a good deal? Is it still worth $50?
If you had the choice between getting the 12 20Rs from Ridgid or 20 20Qs from Ryobi (both $50 at my HD, what would you do?

According to the reviews by HKJ, the R’s are slightly better. But maybe that lies within the margin of error for just a few samples? Both will output 20A at full capacity. In a drill pack I don’t think it matters. In something like a flashlight, a little better becomes a “must have”
So I went to my local HD today to check if the Ryobi packs had dropped. They had and all 3 that were there the other day were in a cart on their way to checkout before I could get my hands on them. One guy bought all 3 sets.
So off I went to hit up some of the other stores. I found one pack sitting on a shelf unlabeled at another store and snatched it up for my father.
I then found some of the Ridgid 2 packs and picked up one pack to tear down for the high current cells.
I took apart my single stack and got 5 of these…
!
Any idea what brand? I wondered if they were LG’s.
Also, can someone give me a short and sweet verrsion of how to get these deals at the self scan? I’ve read a lot at the front of this thread, but didn’t really see an explanation.
Thanks!

These deals for the drill packs are on, it is just that maybe every store has not updated their prices yet. elsewhere in this thread there are other deal types going on that require skill and a lot of luck.
are you going to upload a picture?
Here’s how:
I wrote this up just now to help another member who PM'd me for help inserting pics into his posts. I decided it might be useful to others as well so here it is. The first thing you must do is have your images hosted online with an image hosing provider like photobucket, image shack, flicker or any other of the many that are available online. In the default "simple post editor" click the image icon in the tool bar.[image] Paste your image URL into the "image URL" box. Click "OK". [imag…

the 12 R’s should be $35 by now, I wouldn’t pay 50. Keep an eye on them.

Thanks for your help.
Crud. Linking here doesn’t break any Rules does it?
EDIT: Ive reread the ruls now
I will grab those pics and post them for ya.
BTW, this is not the first time someone has bought new packs at a discount, only to rip them apart for the cells.
These packs usually have 5-10 18650 cells in them. IF it has 10 cells and IF the cells are a high-enough mah, this could be a steal at $2 for a 18650. Regularly $89. The Ryobi and other packs I have cracked have either Sony or Samsung 1500mah high-drain cells in them, but I have seen a few packs at HD these days that say “uses new 2600 mah li-ion cells” right on them. It would be something else if these packs contained Panasonic 2600 mah cells!!! If wishes were fishes, I know. I may just tak…
SAKplumber, here are your picsc\
Got it figured out…and you copied it all here So whattdya think? LG?
