You make way too much sense sometimes. Heck I even have one of the darn two packs sitting across the room from me right now!

I keep debating tearing the packs down for the cells or just getting the matching drill since I need a new drill anyway.

Right now HD has a sweet deal on the drill AND driver set with 2 batts. One is this 4Ah and the other is the smaller 3 cell, 2 Ah one. Comes with charger and carry case for $99. I have this and another drill AND the multi tool setup with cutter, 3/8 driver, offset drill and offset driver.

Yep. I saw those. Do you like them?

I also have the Milwakee 12V drill and driver set. It is actually the one I use the most, but the Ridgid set has more power and has better quality in my opinion.
I probably will retire the Milwakee set soon as the batteries are only 1.5Ah and are getting tired.
I also have Ryobi 18V tools but these Ridgid 12V are very usable, especially with the 4Ah packs.

My local HD still had the 12v double packs today—-I bought the last 5 for $18.02 each—I still had 2 double packs in the bag from last week with the receipt for $35.06 each—they are going back for a refund—they might sell them back to me for $18.02—I took apart 2 packs already—matched the mah for a quad and a triple set—in my K40Mvn running a while they are discharging perfectly together—when I recharge they take near the same mah back in within 4mah

That 2 pack is still $69 at my HD.

I just got 6 more of these night lights in South Carolina for a penny. I went through the self checkout without a problem.
My wife and I are on vacation and we took her mother. She is having a blast watching me penny shop.

She has me beat though. She bought 2 lottery tickets and won $50 and $100 dollars. So far she has spent $20 and won back $150, a net gain of $130.
8 cents worth of penny deals for me have netted $125 worth of goods. :stuck_out_tongue:

Website seems to show them $69 everywhere (every location I checked including some random in other states).

The 18.02 is an in store only price. The online price is 69 the pair.
Call you HD for stock. If they have them, I am pretty sure they will be priced at 18.02

ImA4, in case you haven’t noticed, I have invaded your territory and am now in South Carolina! I am giving you fair warning, tomorrow we are visiting the Charleston area. No HD in that area will be safe. You still have time……

The 12v packs were marked $35.06—I asked a stock person to price check—when he said $18.02 I grabbed all they had 5—he said dam—I said I have lots of drills—HaHa

Packs are still $35.04 here. They had one left and it kinda hidden on a shelf where it doesn’t really belong, so maybe people won’t see it at that price and I can snag it.

I have the charger for these and I plan on building a 3 x XHP-70 light that uses one of these packs as is. The plus and minus connectors on this pack are the same size as the spades on an American AC plug. Only the spacing is different. I don’t know if I can pull it off, but I will look into it.

While I was there, I was going to grab a set of the tools but they are sold out at my local store. Oh well, I’ll grab a set eventually or I’ll just order them.

Yes, you can order that set online and have it delivered to your local store. With these 12V double packs available for only $9 each it could make sense to get the tools also.

Yep, I’ve just got to get some of the battery packs at that price. I have one set but paid $35

None available at the Gulfport/Biloxi MS Home Depots - I just went there. :frowning:

OK, I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the tip.

Man, they'll let anyone into this State.

Not one single Rigid battery for sale at my local Home Depot! Only combo packs of of tools with batteries & chargers. Ugh! I've been watching these Energizer NiMh cells though and they now have a yellow clearance sticker with a price ending in 06! They have been $10.99, so I don't understand the "was $11.99". I also don't understand the date on the sticker of 11/3/2014; like I said, the price just changed on these. I'll keep watching them though even $9.06 isn't a bad price. Oh, and these are the "good" NiMh Energizers - the 2,300mAh made in Japan ones. I've had a set of 4 of these in use for years.

OH! Forgot to mention that a coworker recently told me that our local news had a news piece on about these "$.06" type markdowns and some "tricks" to catch deals. The story didn't give enough info though and just stopped with "a price ending in $.06 will be dropping again soon".
