Home Depot Deal Alerts & Discussion Thread

The 18.02 is an in store only price. The online price is 69 the pair.
Call you HD for stock. If they have them, I am pretty sure they will be priced at 18.02

ImA4, in case you haven’t noticed, I have invaded your territory and am now in South Carolina! I am giving you fair warning, tomorrow we are visiting the Charleston area. No HD in that area will be safe. You still have time……

The 12v packs were marked $35.06—I asked a stock person to price check—when he said $18.02 I grabbed all they had 5—he said dam—I said I have lots of drills—HaHa

Packs are still $35.04 here. They had one left and it kinda hidden on a shelf where it doesn’t really belong, so maybe people won’t see it at that price and I can snag it.

I have the charger for these and I plan on building a 3 x XHP-70 light that uses one of these packs as is. The plus and minus connectors on this pack are the same size as the spades on an American AC plug. Only the spacing is different. I don’t know if I can pull it off, but I will look into it.

While I was there, I was going to grab a set of the tools but they are sold out at my local store. Oh well, I’ll grab a set eventually or I’ll just order them.

Yes, you can order that set online and have it delivered to your local store. With these 12V double packs available for only $9 each it could make sense to get the tools also.

Yep, I’ve just got to get some of the battery packs at that price. I have one set but paid $35

None available at the Gulfport/Biloxi MS Home Depots - I just went there. :frowning:

OK, I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the tip.

Man, they'll let anyone into this State.

Not one single Rigid battery for sale at my local Home Depot! Only combo packs of of tools with batteries & chargers. Ugh! I've been watching these Energizer NiMh cells though and they now have a yellow clearance sticker with a price ending in 06! They have been $10.99, so I don't understand the "was $11.99". I also don't understand the date on the sticker of 11/3/2014; like I said, the price just changed on these. I'll keep watching them though even $9.06 isn't a bad price. Oh, and these are the "good" NiMh Energizers - the 2,300mAh made in Japan ones. I've had a set of 4 of these in use for years.

OH! Forgot to mention that a coworker recently told me that our local news had a news piece on about these "$.06" type markdowns and some "tricks" to catch deals. The story didn't give enough info though and just stopped with "a price ending in $.06 will be dropping again soon".

Welcome to my west coast world. I’m probably in a HD once a day on average for work, and I keep getting bupkis in the land of deals.

Check your local toysrus… I think the deal for duracell ion core (repackaged eneloop XX) is back on with $9 for the first 4-pack and 50% off the next. (So ~$14 for 8 made in Japan cells.) If they don’t have them marked right on the floor, they match their web price.

That worked. I hit 2 stores, but was only able to find one pack. Like chops728, it was marked $35.06, but rang up $18.02. Thanks guys!

Hope your visit to South Carolina is a good one and that your Finder Force be strong. Wish you wouldn't have brought the cold weather down with you though.

Thanks, SC is a lovely State. We are about 20 miles from the Charleston HD as I type this. And yeah, we brought some of the cold down with us. But 45 sure beats –5

Glad you were able to partake in the Ridgid deal. Now you have 12 20R’s

Hopefully I made dchomak proud today—Last week I purchased 2 double 12v riggid battery packs for $35.06—-I returned them today and at the same returns counter I repurchased them for $18.02—The lady said because it was just a week ago she could do it—I said how long do I have to get a refund with a receipt—she said 30 days—I said OK I had 30 days to bring them back and repurchase them—she said I guess you’re right

That could be dangerous sometimes. If it had gone to a penny and you returned them, they probably wouldn’t have resold them to you. I worked customer service at HD and somebody tried that one time. The customer was upset, but my hands were tied. He should have revealed his intentions before he returned them.

New Hartford, NY showed 1 in stock but they could not find it, may have walked out the door on it’s own………
They looked on the overhead storage and in the clearance but nothing.

They did tell me they had 3 in Auburn, NY if anyone is close.

FYI: Thanks for the SKU, thats the trick to see if they have any

They scanned the batteries first—as in disbelief—So if it scans for a penny I’ll run next time

I scanned the battery packs again today and they still have not dropped in my local store.

The first store I tried to return them still had them for$35.06 I had to go across town where I had found them discounted—The funny thing is they said we match prices but not against other HD stores
