That is so strange, the only notification i got about my order was the paypal receipt, nothing else at all.
The only other seller i have run in to that don’t send anything at all (besides the paypal receipt) is dealmetic.
Made sure they didn't land into the spam/junk folder? Some of my notification emails landed there.
I'm going to be placing a nice order of 6 XM-L2s on copper and sinkpads as well as some XP-Ls on sinkpads after the CNY and Lantern Festival holidays.
It seems they probably overhauled their back end system as of late, resulting in the notifications. Good on them!
No i don’t have or had any mails from LEDDNA in my spam folder.
You say “as of late”, but my order was on Jan 23 thats not even a month ago.
@dchomak when did you order? maybe Otanacious is right & this is a recent improvement.
Anyway i don’t have any problem with ordering from them again, they ship quick & have good prices. But i find it strange that some of us get so wildly different customer experiences.

I have ordered 4 times spanning late December to the most recent about a week ago. I always got “order received” “order pending shipment” and “order shipped” but nothing after that.
I've had two orders placed on Jan. 12 and Jan. 15 and both had notifications; Both of them were $20+ worth, and I had a tracking number on them.
I also had an order on 12/27/2014, but did not receive any notifications other than confirmation. Maybe it was a scheduled upgrade to happen at the start of 2015?
One of my orders had a tracking number, but I didn’t get those emails. Once I got “Order Shipped”, I just tracked it myself with the tracking number.

I didn’t get tracking and didn’t realize they were in HK so I began to get worried but the order showed up in 3-4 weeks. Ordered from link posted in the XPH thread and received order confirmation, processing, and shipment notices. Without tracking a check of the website only came back with “shipped”. CNQG is the only one I regularly have poor initial response from(orders don’t register or no confirmation even though paypal shows payment) but their orders have alway shown up anyway.
BLF15 expired yesterday :( Time to get Billy to reinstate it :)
I believe they also operate as LCK LED. I currently have a similar problem. Gobs of emails resulted in “Sorry, lost your order, will ship tomorrow”, “Lost your order, will ship this afternoon”. All bull. It’s all documented in its own thread: LCK LED Bad Experience on this page.
Looks to be a lottery with both sites. You either get great service (shipping from Hong Kong can be fast!) or silence, and false promises on the rare occasions where they do respond.
In three days I can escalate the dispute to a claim and PayPal can deal with them, though I have a feeling they know how to game the system to keep my money as long as possible, or if they do ship, it will be via boat. I already bought (and received) the products from other vendors, so it’s not like I need what they have anymore.
Some have bad experinece and some good and all with the same seller. I have bad experience. I’d say it looks suspicious enough to make you think twice about ordering from such sellers.

I have 2 orders, one on march 7 and the other on march 9 both show as shipped, hope they get here soon. Fingers crossed…

At least yours shows shipped. You’ll probably get it. Do you have a tracking number? Hong Kong mail has very good tracking, and flights leave from there daily. Not just cargo flights either. A Boeing 777 300ER, stuffed full of passengers, can still carry ~30,000 lbs of cargo on a long-haul route.
I placed my order February 9th, and it only shows processing. Multiple emails and a PayPal dispute later and:
He claims I was refunded, but I can’t see it in my PayPal transactions page, and he won’t give me a transaction number.
He now claims it was shipped, but my order shows processing, and he won’t give me a tracking number (that I paid extra for).
One good thing about the internet: People share their experiences.
XHP50 J2-1A ordered on the 8th, shipped on 10th, will be in my hands on the 16th.
@LED Boatguy you've gotten the shaft from LCK-LED, but this is LED-DNA. Have you ordered from LED-DNA also? Surely you can't go saying LCK-LED is the same outfit because of a few similar associations, especially if its because they both use the same storefront software (BigCommerce).
Mind that we're both in the same state. I've posted my average shipping times from the orders I've gotten with tracking a couple times. I reckon that you'll get shipping times like mine from LED-DNA, plus the BLF15 coupon code. Free shipping and a 15% code? Both non-existent on LCK-LED.
I based it on:
Identical MO: No responses to emails, lies about shipping and refunds.
A few people who have ordered from both companies and report that the products are packaged in EXACTLY the same unique way. Everything about the orders are the same, except for the company name.
LCK never denied being the same company in my emails to them.
Posts like this: “I’ve bought from them and led dna a bunch lately through ebay. Both come very well packed and labeled. (I actually wouldn’t be surprised if LED DNA and lck led are the same company)”
Hey if you have good dealings with them, good on you. Shipping should be great, as Hong Kong generally ships to SFO, in your back yard. I had an excellent relationship with them over ten years ago.
