This is a Sipik SK98 style light. Don’t believe the 2000 lumen claim, but I have one of these types of light that I bought for $8.50 last year off Ebay. It turned out to be quite a fine light and I’ve actually put it on my SG in a universal mount. Since mounting it I’ve kind of missed having it in my TDU cargo pocket at work so I’ve ordered two of these lights. Hoping they are just as good (or even better would be okay too).
Not bad paying 51 cent more for two that I did for one last year. 
I got 3 of those, they are quite nice, low,med,high,strobe, SOS… high is 1.5A and it’s not too bad tint, and throw is quite good. The pill is not threaded, and it is not totally snug fit so it does not transfer the heat too well to the body. Best buy for such a low price ever.
I do have a soft spot for those. I just noticed that the seller has changed the description to 3 mode but the last one I got was still 5 mode. I also use them as a cheap source of parts for home made lights.

Thanks. I ordered two. I have two that look like that from some place like Banggood, and they have a brighter and warmer light than the more common similar ones with the scollop fluted head. I also think it looks much nicer. I am not sure about the pill.
Do you know what emitter it uses?
I bought a couple of these 2-A lights for $1.98 US and modded them with XP-G emitters. Great price for a solid 2-AA host.

Anyone know if its glued or how the led sits, by pill or shelf.
The lens is glued or a very tight push fit. I had intended to mod mine but it turned out to be a surprisingly good little light stock. I actually got mine free as it was DOA and the seller gave me a full refund. Eventually traced the problem to a lack of contact between the body tube and driver (end of the tube was anodised). It’s now the best non-Cree light I have with a nice neutral tint rather than the usual blue. Throws well too.
I’m guessing it will have the standard plastic pill that goes with these straw hat LEDs but I haven’t opened it up to find out.
Ok thanks for the added info & picture, it really is a little mini C8 too bad you haven’t gotten it open yet, i hope i get it open in the end.
There not many good cheap moddable clicky aaa/10440 host around so i hope this one has some potential.
How big is the mcpcb in these? is it a good solid pill or shelf? i am thinking about putting a XHP50 or 70 in one of these little 2xAA hosts If i can find one that can take it that is :bigsmile:
Looks really interesting. Any additional info? Solid pill? What led does it come with? Was the head glued? It's cheap enough, so I ordered one. Thinking of reflowing a Nichia 119 onto it.
Might make a good glovebox light.

To go with the mini C8 you could also get big brother for just $3.67.
It has the old XRE LED (NOT XML as listed) and probably a plastic reflector but is still a cheap host for endless modding possibilities.
Seller has a bucket load of negative feedback though.
