fasttech Damaged p60 kits

who ever is packing the p60 kits is a IDIOT. they stuck the brass screw in pill in all 5 reflector kits i purchased on FT. there in a small bag not much room for the parts to bounce around
I wonder if my SMOOTH kit’s will show up the same way?

So the parts are bouncing around where they can scratch the reflector? That was a problem when FT was new, but after receiving complaints, they started packing the reflector in a separate bag. I'm guessing they've had some turnover and nobody remembers how to do it right now...

I got a few from them delivered in the same manner. One, non orange peal, was damaged beyond use.

Sad part is that it would take a few seconds to wrap them properly.

I put a note in the FT ‘review’ thread for these

They have been shipping them like this for years now. Hundreds of complaints from dozens of customers, and they never change how they ship them.

The same happened to me.

I ordered 4 different ones a month ago, and only the ones with the xp-g reflector had seperately packed reflectors.
But the brass pill was inside the reflector and still managed to leave scratch marks on the reflector through the thin plastic foil.

eh boy do I feel dumb, had I known you sold these kits on your website, I would have ordered from you saved my self the hassle from SlowTechs Garbage

Will not be ordering from FT again, they refused to issue a refund and kept saying that they needed more photos. After the 20th time and using several expensive cameras and uploading and adding shades to show the scratches i gave up. all this drama for a few dollar in parts is not worth it LOLOL

I had the same problem with xm ones. But I quit ordering those and only use xp sized drop-ins for now and all of them have been properly packaged. The light op ones are really good too.

No centering ring though so those you would have to do without, or order from another store. I just sand down the thin xm ones and put them upside down. But I have seen that mtn stocks xp sized centering rings.

Edit: And btw, I didn’t bother to complain about my damaged drop-in as it was only one. You could still use it with a scratch too even if annoying.

I thought they fixed this problem. The last ones I ordered from them around Christmas were packaged correctly. Like someone mentioned above. New people working there are not with the program. I expect, if you guys complain, they will correct the problem.

I've had them run and check stock items before for different issues and they did correct the problem. If I remember what it was I'll post it here.

Yep, several years now.

This is not entirely true. I had 2 good ones for XML's arrive packaged safely last Christmas. Must be hit and miss. More miss than hit now I suspect.

If the SMO reflectors get scuffed, you could always try to turn them OP with heat resistant clear gloss paint:
