M4D M4X deals - Astrolux WP1 and WP2 LEP

That will be great Sirius9, I will wait for the review. Thanks!

Isn t there just born a group buy for it…by freeme?

Yeah, I saw that after I posted.

dont forget to search my list in post 1 if you want to buy a light…

maybe there is already a good price availabe

Hey guys!

some “nice” people complained at nitecore that banggood sold with code for a (for us customers) great price.

so Neal has to deactivate the Codes :frowning:

“thank you” to them who do not want us to get cheap prices |(

Yes… “thanks” |( (we know)

Is that a new record for the MAP Hammer?

maybe…

i hope that (in the sake of netiquette) the members who took a place in a groupbuy stay there if the difference is not big.
but if another shop sells for much less - the first gave not the best possible price to the groupbuy …

i know it is not funny if a groupbuy does not work out
and this community has a lot members who donate uncounted hours to make them possible!

but we are the budget lightforum
the cheapest (with good service) should win.

But if players forget that it is not their personal interest that matters but the good of the team (all BLF members) then we all lose, as you can see now.

What is wrong with these people? Is it possible to only allow access to certain threads via PM? Because I think that is a great solution for the OP to review the account before granting access!!
Just my two cents

getting a better price for more than a limited group and the opportunity to choose where to buy is not in the interest of the community?

the fact that groupbuy AND having codes was growing to much attention and someone got jealous and killed the deals is bad
but we both tried to get a deal for as much members than possible
didn’t we?

Ugh… good thing I acted fast enough to get those two lights

As you now see, “playing shops” for better price can be double-edged sword.
EA/EC11 group buy were never planned as limited quantity only, in fact I hate that “exclusive stuff” policy and I will never participate if something is offered in “only 50 pcs” deal, it’s like throwing a bone to dogs and watch them kill themselves over it, disgusting. There was only one limitation = minimum 20 pcs / 20 potential buyers to start the GB. And all went well until several members alerted me that Banggood sent them a PM asking for a group buy conditions and price. Then they offered discount codes and as of that point situation starts to fly downhill, and it was not even a better deal, first day it was a slightly higher price and then, second day they adjusted the price again to be equal. The EA/EC11 gb were reported, we can’t get more than 40 pcs and the rest is history.

There is one more negative side of “playing shops” and starting price war, like here, that I can think of at this moment. It significantly limits the possibilities of future “cooperation” thru group buys because price war causes profit slimming and at one point vendor will completely lost interest in this type of sales, why would they invest significant amount of time, risk their relationships with suppliers when they can make same profit selling 5 pcs with regular price instead of 40 pcs with gb price… So the next time when you feel like making a group buy you will get “no thanks, we’ll pass” reply and then we all lose…

The prices from banggood were even cheaper than the GB.

To be honest, I’m a cheap bastard. The GB and BG price is higher than I want to spend, but I bought one anyway. I ordered one of the EA11, as I already carry a 14500 light. I was tempted to get the EC11, but I’d also have to get new batteries. There’s no way in hell I’d pay the advertised price. Now if someone wanted to PM me a code to get the EC11 for $30, I’d get one.

As far as MAP, it stands for Minimum ADVERTISED Price. If the price isn’t advertised, what’s the big deal? Perhaps the private pricing is allowing people like me to buy a light they wouldn’t normally get. This is the first Nitecore light I will have.

It’s a shame

Ciao

Keep bringing up good deals Martin! Especially nitecore MH20

More proof that BLF needs a VIP backroom.

Yeah, but who would decide who gets in? How would we know who’s on the up-and-up, and who’s not? Sometimes, in the real world, it is the person you least expect that is selling you out. Reminds me of the quote “keep your friends close and your enemies closer”. As long as you have to eventually disclose details to the buyer about the seller, there is a chance that someone is taking those details and disclosing them to another interested party that you were trying to keep the info from in the first place.

The only way to be completely sure a GB will go through would be for the retailer doing a GB to actually have all the GB lights in stock, and assign them to the individuals on the list, with no possible way for anyone to overbuy. Then the manufacturers can’t screw it up, because there is already stock at the retailer. And greedy individuals can’t screw it up, because they have to tell beforehand exactly how many they will buy, and that’s all they get. I guess you couldn’t keep a competitor from undercutting the price, but at some point you have to be able to trust people to keep their commitments. Some people don’t know how to keep a commitment, I guess, but you can’t predict that. You just have to roll with it when it happens, and remember who they are the next time a GB comes around.

And to those BLF members who are “playing” the competitors against each other when you know the information is sensitive: Be ashamed, be very ashamed. I don’t care how much better of a deal you think you can get. When you’ve already been told that the information has to be kept a secret, and the reasons why, then you already know that you’re more likely than not to screw it up if you divulge that info to anyone! Now, both of the retailers’ deals have been shut down by Nitecore, and somebody did it to us for their own selfish reasons! Don’t kid yourself, when the situation is this sensitive, there is no way you had the group in mind when you played that hand!

I dont understand why so many people are upset. Sure, it wasnt nice to tell Nicecore about the coupons. But on a free market the sellers imo should be free to set their own prices so I dont really like Nitecores behaviour either. In Sweden the resellers are free to set whatever price they want (atleast in theory).

I also think we should not expect a deal to last forever. A deal that lasts for a long time is no deal but a regular low price, right? This time many of us had the opportunity to buy the lights from either group buy or from coupons from different members on this site. There was also email-coupons directly from atleast one of the big resellers.

But I´m just a noob, so I am probably very wrong. I am sure you will let me know

Kind regards
