(When the LED lifts up, either there’s a flat aluminum surface behind it (with 2 holes for the wires) — that’s a “solid pill”
OR, there’s a hole and you can see inside the pill down to the electronics on the driver (that’s a “hollow pill”)
If you can lay your hands on one and let us know, it’ll be worth knowing.
I’ve been looking for those with the solid pill — they’re hard to find and very easy to mod with better/colored emitters
Hi phsinvent, thanks for you liking it, we will have a clearance for 4 kind of olight later ( including the Olight M21 ), wish you can support us when it is on.
Hey GearBest,
You cancelled my order because something was out of stock but you only gave me store credit instead of a paypal refund. Could you fix this please?
I got it , but it seems I need to take the flashlight in hand to check it, my office is far away from the ware house, it will take some time for me to get it, wish you don’t mind waiting.
I for one am very happy to wait — the question (solid pill or hollow pill?) is asked for every flashlight sold.
It’s rare that a seller is able to find out and answer the question.
Thank you for looking into it.
It would be fine if you could tell us — for every flashlight you describe — whether the LED is placed on a solid surface, or on a ledge around a hollow open space.
This makes little difference for the lights as you sell them. It makes a great difference for us when we improve on them to make them brighter (and hotter inside).
It would also make brighter flashlights possible if your manufacturers produced solid pills routinely.
Has anyone used the “Olight” batteries from GearBest? I just bought some because I love the price and quality of my other Olight batteries, but these are not true Olight. These are longer, fatter, and none of them are straight. I’m having a hard time fitting them in some of my lights.
Yeah, I know they have to be fakes, or maybe rejects from where the Olights are made. I just wanted to know if these are safe to use in the few lights they will fit in?
