I hope the powers that be are reading this. Again? This is just shocking to me. If it were my forum, to protect my subscribers, I would immediately remove all traces of this company except for a firm “Do not buy from” post. A very difficult situation to be in though. :_(

While it seems some people are getting their orders, its just the way the company is operated so poorly that taking a risk and buying from them could be more trouble than it is worth.

I have made two orders with them.

  1. A small flashlight. It took 46 days to arrive and had a spidered crack in the lens. Was not shipping damage, it was shipped that way. After telling them they immediately sent a replacement. That one arrived 63 days later in good condition.
  2. Ordered a kayfun v4 rebuild kit, took 74 days to get here.

For me its not worth the trouble to order anything from them. I almost ordered a Yezi and a Couri flashlights. Great prices. But if they can’t ship at least as fast as FT, I’m not willing to risk having to deal with any potential problems and wait time for the order.

Guys your going to bash a company for cheap prices and free shipping that takes time to arrive
Or better yet, join a forum and talk crap about a company because they wanted to make sure you weren’t committing fraud (which I’m seriously thinking may be the case being your so angry about it) because you gave them reason to. Then throw a temper tantrum because they authorized funds at time of order(which is a big red flag that you don’t know all this and throw a fit they want proof card is yours)

I could see there being an issue but all the people on multiple forums that buy from there that dont come to this forum (or bother posting in this thread) because they all have no issues. Other places ship faster but you pay more for it in the item price instead.

I just watched them DHL express a bunch of preorders so everyone had the items in less than a week, just to make up for lost time.

Dont sit there and complain because you don’t want to wait (I see this childish crap with highly reputable companies, because people see the transit time and expect miracles anyway).

But over all most feedback here bad. And some justified,.most just trying to find a way to get free stuff or just to place blame elsewhere.

I had my bad experience, but take into consideration time difference, language barrier and distance when dealing with these things. If you don’t want to understand and expect them to be the same shipping speed and easy service as amazon, then go buy from amazon.

Some complaints are indeed exaggerated.
But their shipping times are really slower than any other Chinese seller I have ordered from (with free shipping and cheap prices as well). From some sellers I get the goods within 3 weeks, on average it takes 30-45 days, from GearBest it often takes over 60 days, never faster than 40 days. It’s important to note it so people know what to expect when they order from GB. Usually I don’t care for shipping times and ready to wait to get something cheaper. If time is important I know to buy somewhere else.

I am grateful that forums like this exist. It aids in educating the consumer for making wiser and more informed decisions when buying. In doing so, word of mouth is the best form of advertising. Unsatisfied customers that happen to find these forums get excellent service for the most part.
Let us all remember, for U.S. based customers! Most/all(?) of these Asian companies are not bound to the same U.S. laws afforded to us in protecting the consumer. Most of these companies, if they were suddenly on U.S. soil, operating a business like these would immediately be shut down by the state attorneys office for dozens of violations. Owners would probably get jail time also.
So, we all take a chance in getting that good deal. The only and I mean only protection you have is Paypal. As much as most of us do not care for paypal, they are our last refuge in getting our monies back when the time comes that you get burned, and most people have. I think its a daily ritual now, or at least it seems like it, another seller on ebay making a mad dash with the cash. I have no idea why ebay still allows it. Its a simple loophole in their system that gets exploited. I can’t be the only one whos sees it.

This has also been my experience, delivery time in 6 to 14 days? Are you kidding me, they hardly ever even get it packaged for shipment in that time.

Check that products are in stock. That is something ive never had an issue. But their free shipping is slow. I gave no idea why they don’t ship ePost registered like eBay sellers do. 2-3weeks every time. LEDDNA 2 weeks both times I ordered optics. GB 3 weeks free shipping, DHL in about a week. KD and a couple others, 6 weeks.

I do agree GB needs to chill on these odd ball shipping methods from other countries. Standard air mail is faster and seemingly more reliable.

So I’m looking to build 10 Courui Big Head lights for friends and coworkers, where should I get the Hosts or lights from. 60 Days will be too long.

Fasttech.

I’ve been waiting for items I ordered in early April - items which are in stock. Customer service, when not ignoring me, or lying to me - “We are now testing the item (QC check) for you.” - keep asking me to wait a few days more and they will ship - they’ve been saying the same for weeks and weeks!!

Well, I’m at the end of the line - they’ve hung me out to dry long enough. I’ll give them a few more days to resolve my outstanding tickets and if (as I suspect they will) they ignore me or fob me off with lame excuses I’ll open a Paypal dispute to get my money back.

It’s their loss in the end - if they treat customers like donkeys they’re going to lose them and the money they were prepared to spend.

We are very sorry to heard this issue, could you please PM me your order number or ticket ID, then we could solve for you.

bulls eye!

Does anyone else know why Gearbest agree to refund you but ask you to close the PayPal case first? I’ve got 2 disputes with them and they have said they will refund me but after I close the case, I’ve heard of them doing it with others on this forum but why?
I’f I close the case they could just not refund me and I’d be out of pocket unable to make a claim

Don’t do it. If they refund via Paypal the case gets closed. That’s the only way the case gets closed.
