KronoReview: Eagle Eye X6R

I’m not sure if it trickle charges once charged, or just flat terminates charging. I’ll try to pose the question to Neal/EE.

Egads…I have a lot on my plate as is.

Perhaps if there is enough interest, Neal/BG can do a coupon code type of discount?

Looks like another nice Eagle Eye light. Thanks for the review!

According to Neal, the internal charger has a 1 amp charge rate. I am trying to get more info on internal charge components.

According to Eagle Eye, the on-board charger completely shuts down when battery is fully charged.

There is NO turbo step-down.

Great review! Nice job!

Do I hear groupbuy :money_mouth_face:

EagleEye seems to be a great manufacturer. The X6-se edition is great.
I’m on the waiting list for the A6 groupbuy, and it looks even without special mods their stock lights are very nice already!

Great review! Nice light. Good job Eagle Eye.

Thank you for taking the time to answer this.

Thanks for the great review. I noticed this on BG and was wondering about it.
A few dumb questions I’m sure: (I have no experience with charging lights and haven’t really researched any with USB port)

Is the charging cord micro USB, the same as used for charging an android phone / tablet?

What kind of charger did you use to recharge in 2.5 - 3 hrs.? Wall charger? 1A or 2A? Or plugged into a PC USB port?

They provide perfectly spaced modes in THIS light. ;( * cry *

Yes…exactly the same.

It was a 1 amp wall charger.

Thanks, great then it should charge with a car lighter plug adapter too.

I may have missed this in the review or somewhere in the thread, how is the output of this compared to a BLF SE X6?

When I hold a BLF SE X6 it seems my thumb is resting right where that side switch is located on the X6R.

A group buy would be good if it pulls more amps than the BLF Edition X6.
Have you compared them side by side to see which is brighter?
No turbo timer is awesome.

Its too bad they did away with the deep cut cooling fins. :frowning:
That was my favorite feature.

A group buy would be good

I received my one today and I am more than happy with it.
From what I can see it is powered by 8x7135 chips to give 2.8a. Start stacking people
