Once again, please provide this as a host in other colors than red. There was some info about blue version, not being sold yet.
The metal switch cover instead of silicone looks nice and I think many of us would appreciate it being available with other color options as well. Heck even sell a black version of this tail with the metal switch cover.

I love a nice deep blue purple. Party I’d take standard blue too.
Unfortunately Simon (convoy-flashlight) hasn’t been online on BLF for 10 weeks. We can message him through aliexpress though.

A nice deep olive green, or a dark earth brown would be good colors as well for this light….

This light is an awesome colour Smile
More colours is always good, but how can you look bright red in the eye and say its inadequate Big Smile

I’d buy one if it wasn’t red. As I have a S2 2.8A XML U2 I’m not sure that I’d notice much difference in brightness. Is the S2+ a better host than the S2?

I’d like to see this in an international orange or hi-vis color.

+1 on this, International orange may be a pain for an anodizing, but it would look trick!

Does the 3/5 driver used in these have a timed step down on turbo?

Just got mine .

I like it . Very floody compared to an S2 . The 4C tint is nice and the switch is really smooth .

Recommended .

Jack,

Just got mine today, and was about to post, but you said it for me:-)

I have Xp-G2s for throw in a small light, and have larger XM-L2s for flood or throw, but this light really fills a niche for me.

This is a really good light for “Up-Close”.

What a deal for 13 bucks at Gearbest!

Thanks,

-Chuck

Don’t know… I’m really pretty easy on my stuff, and really conservative.

It gets hot pretty quick on high, but most of the time I use Med. – Never too hot to hold.

BTW – Love the looks of your Island!

Thanks,

-Chuck

I intend to use this light as a bike light , probably on medium .

As I usually average around 14 MPH , the air movement will keep it cool .

Just holding the light on high , it will be too hot to hold ( comfortably )  in 4 minutes or so .

3-4 minutes on turbo is all I need I guess….High at about 500 lumens should do for general everyday use!

At 2.8A on a XM-L2, should be more like 800 lumens, I would think?

“Glad you like it – You should come someday!”

All it takes is a Ticket, but I can’t seem to find mine:-(

Thanks,

Got an S2+ from GB. The light looks nice, but when I opened it up...I smelled...cheap! Aluminum pill w/ press fit driver retaining ring and an aluminum switch retaining ring also!!

Surprised

Yes, please! Even my wife smiled when I showed her a picture of the blue Convoy. And she HATES flashlights (in general).

You are a flashaholic if you are forced to come out of the closet, to make room for more flashlights.

Same here. I wonder what Simon has to say about these. Are they some kind of Convoy knockoff? It’s supposed to have brass pill and retainer rings. The box is different and they sent me a cool white instead of a 4C neutral white.

Hum….Maybe GB has a custom order with inferior parts to cut price even further…hum hum….I don’t like this one little bit.

Or… it’s a fake! If you want genuine Convoy, why don’t you buy from Convoy? Seems to me that should be the best and cheapest route. Party

Other colors would be nice… especially purple. Deep dark primary purple or dark magenta plum purple, not some light pastel shade. There are far too few purple lights in the world. And dark turquoise.

I have a red S2+ with a XP-G2 triple, 10508 optic, and FET+1 driver, and it’s one of my nicest lights. 0.3 lm on moon, 2250 lm on turbo. Great flooder, and the best biking light I’ve ever tried. I’d totally make more if it came in other good colors. Smile

Would also be nice to see a version designed to hold a triple without a spacer. It could be shorter, and the top of the pill would need to be flat instead of recessed, with a hole only in the center. Would probably also need the top of the pill to be a bit thicker.

Here's a pic of the driver on the $12.99 Red S2+ from GB, definitely looks press fit to me. It also pulled only 2.02A at the tail on a 25R...probably a 6*7135 configuration.

Oh my…

This is the old design, and the spring loks a lot cheaper than the “original”.

I would contact Convoy and ask, if this is a fake or if they make those for resellers

What tint did you get? They were supposed to be 4C but they sent me a 1A.
