Warsun Zoomie X65. Bro of UF1405?

It looks like PMMA.

Gearbest has gotten the X65 in stock.

wish it was more than an XML

Emitter would go out or be at least dedomed anyway so… not that big of a deal IMO

Too bad it is 1 x 26650 / 3 x AAA, not / 4 x AAA or / 3 x AA. Those would be much better for gifts.
It is 3 x AA, as someone said above, so it is very good for those who don’t want to use lithium ion batteries.

Recently I tried to find cheap 3xAA light (as you said, they are good for gifting to people when you don’t want to explain everything about li-ion cells and spend more on charger and battery), won’t believe how hard it is…

Yep; do search here for 3xAA, there are a couple of threads with reports of finding a few still available; sort by date.

ordered one to experiment on.

Neal says they could ask for a XM-L2 version…

no, now i have to cancel my order, haha

Neal from Banggood? I think GearBest can have the L2 version too. Will check with Karren@GB.

Mine is still left unopened. Maybe at first I twisted it in a wrong direction, it's too tight to open now.

Seller told me to fix the LED base, and twist the body anticlockwise.

I will go to the factory and use a bigger vise to try. Scratches are unavoidable.

Post pictures if you get it open.

Another tri-color XP-E variant.

Did your flashlight get soaked or is it just happy to see me? :crown:

It is not my light, just an over-processed advertising image :)

Gearbest has now XML2 as well.

and it costs $17.97

xml version is $16.99

I think it looks rather good for a zoomie.

It seems that zoomie boom happened and I see a lot of people that swore only on reflector lights buying them... :)

Hit it on the head.
I lurked here for about 2 years and joined up almost 3 years ago and at that time Zoomies were considered a “Toy, passing Fad, good for entertainment only” by the majority of members of stature.

Now given, a lot of those people have moved on, but now it is a Zoomie Lovefest!
Anyway, they’re all good on my book if they make ya happy:)

They also hated 2-3 cell lights because “Ya can’t trust 2 or more batteries in series, it’s the Devil’s Brew”
Then along came MT-G2’s and the like, and all of a sudden, Multiple cells are where it’s at.
Funny that.

Later,
Keith

Maybe the quality and variety of zombies have changed as well.

Oops... zoomies (auto correction error)

Aspherics are my number one choice since my first days of flashaholism. I would like to see some inventions on this field and not just "slap it with bigger lenses for better performance", and downsize trend.

I imagine one day small pocket zoomie will have at least 500kcd throw performance. Zoomies are lights with biggest potential and they have incredible performance in certain light applications(like IR for example), and I can bet that some person like MEM will make extraordinary versions of them.
