FastTech vs Dealextreme

Bought from dx, fasttech, and wallbuys 8 december. Wallbuys appeared 19 or 21 december, dx 22 or 24, and fasttech 27 or 31 december. So that time fasttech were worst. But we’ll see how my 2 fasttech orders from yesterday will do…

I have ordered from both Fast tech took 13 days to the UK where DX took 24 days to the UK, I know who I will be using in the future.

All of those measuring time should identify time till the package was actually accepted by the postal service.

Shipping notice = order pulled from shelf

Accepted by postal service = package actually in their hands

I’ve used some companies that give me a shipping notice and the acceptance date is 4 or more days later.

After the order is pulled, the item needs to be wrapped, postage paid, and then actually be either taken to or picked up by the postal service.

I’ve had WAY too many packages sit in a mail room over a long weekend when the shipping notice says it was shipped on a Thursday.

+1

Also, you will never know how long it actually sits in China Post. The tracking system is China Post's system and it leaves much to be desired. That has absolutely nothing to do with a Vendor. Once it leaves their shop, there is no control. It's up to the whim of the postal system. I think sometimes people get upset with vendors, when the culprit is the postal systems in each country. International tracking is a total joke. I had a package come in today and it still shows that it is sitting in China Post, waiting to be released on a plane. I have had others sit in NY customs for three weeks. All too many times we bad mouth the vendor and there is nothing they can do, just as we can't do anything either.

Registered mail will travel faster, 9 times out of 10. At least it seems to come faster. The problem with DX is that they don't actually ship the product. It's either out of stock or it is waiting to be pulled, packed and shipped. They went to hell when they got too big and couldn't control their business any more.

Fasttech is fast, my first order got here (Greece) in 10 days.

I plan to try fasttech but I should say DX has a huge list of items (but not all in stock).
This month I had two orders from DX and Manafont.
Manafont order shown up at HK-post 2 days later then DX order.
But I have received Manafont order about one week earlier then DX order.
So post office processing time is not a way to measure vendors performance.

My latest DX order took 12days (to NY). Not bad.

I have never ordered anything from Deal Extreme. Can I get an update on this thread. How are they to deal with? Do they actually have the items they sell in stock or are they ordering it from someone else? What do they do to a shipment if one item is not in stock, do they do partial shipments ? Do they credit back items they can’t fulfill? Any tricks about their shiping to the US one should do to get the package quickly without paying extra for shipping?

In particular I wanted to order a number of different o-rings and tail bap boots in various colors. Some of their reviews by customers claim they ordered an orange or green o-ring but then received black ones instead.

I have recently ordered from Fasttech and the items I received were as advertised on their website. Their shipping is a little strange, the first leg of their shipment is dark. You are sent a order shipped email but the shipping company doesn’t acknowledge an item until it actually hits US soil. They then track it to a hand off to USPS. In total their items reached me in 11 days. But the first 7 days I had no idea what was happening. Maybe it was because their were batteries included in the order.

There is also a company called TMart. Is anyone familiar with them? How are they to order from?

I did have good experience with Banggood and MyLED. Tracking from both was sketchy. Just my two cents

I haven’t had any problems with them at all. I’ve always got exactly what I’ve ordered, or been automatically refunded for items that ran out of stock (which has only happened to me once). I wouldn’t know if they have themselves or order from others, to me it makes no difference. They always seem to be a little more expensive than FastTech, but they seem to have a wider range of products so I still place orders with them from time to time.

I order from Sweden so I have no input on orders to US.

8 days ago(05-20-15) the order I placed on 05-18-15 from Fasttech said shipped, today(05-28-15) I find out that the package was accepted. That's the kind of garbage that happens regularly at Gearbest. I never thought I would see Fasttech pulling this kind of nonsense now.

Yeah I quit ordering from gearbest. I was racking up quite a bill with them too. Fasttech been good but some items took time to get, but always got what I ordered.

Gearbest used to be good with the deals. But when trying to make a deal with them for bulk items they wouldn’t even consider it. So many dealers around no reason to hassle with them over a few dollars.

I quite gearbest months ago after both of my only two orders ever with them took 60+ days each to get to the U.S.

Tmart is OK but has problems getting the order right. Last time I ordered a two cell C8 and received a one cell model. Not worth the hassle in my opinion.

I’m not exactly sure what you mean but I think this happens to me all the time on both dx and ft. Ft shipped one package to me with Singapore today and it will not show up on tracking for a few days? Happens all the time, give a take a few days. When ordering with free shipping you should never be in a hurry.

Nope, I always pay the extra ~$1 for shipping. Takes over a month if I don't. Won't do that again.

As far as how the shipping goes from what I have experienced, on a good day, Make the order one day, next day it shows shipped, day after that it shows up on U.S.P.S. 90% of the orders I do turn out that way with them. Just recently they have been slowing down and giving incorrect shipping information. It seems to me though that recently when they show it shipped, it sits in a box and probably has to wait some days, sometimes a lot of days, until they fill the shipping quota, then it gets shipped out the door to the carrier.

I have been thinking we should start a thread on each dealers shipping standards. I started out buying all my flashlights from Solarforce. Their tracking is great. Order and within 48 hours you get their email order with tracking number. This doesn’t actually mean the order shipped, just that it is in the processing line. But usually it does get out of the factory in a day after the email, but tracking takes 2 days to finally pick up the tracking data. But once tracking data starts to show then I can predict to the day when it will show up. Usually 4 days from factory to NY customs, then 4 days from NY to my door. So I can get anything I want in 8 calendar days. Of course this doesn’t include batteries. But Since SPS expedited and Sweden Post are now shipping batteries I asked Solarforce to reconsider and start selling batteries to the US again.)

FashTech is much different. (Both orders I am describing have had at least 1 Battery in them so they were sent USPS expidited.) I get the order email, without a tracking number. Then a day or so later a second email marked shipped with the tracking number. Then everything goes dark for a number of days. sometimes 2 or 3 days. Then the tracking company shows electronic acceptance. Then dark again for 5 or 6 days. Then DHL shows accepting package in NJ and they drive it to My state where they turn it over to the USPS and then a couple more days to my door. About 20 days all in.

I’m tracking my first package with IOS. They shipped it PayPal Package (what ever that is) and so far it has taken 8 days from date of order to get to some unnamed airport in the US. I have no idea who picks it up from there or how long to my door.

It’s kind of funny that all these flashlight companies have such different delivery systems.

I love IOS. I bought a bunch of his $9.90 large fried eggs on a plate(MT-G2). For that price I feel like I stole them. Got them a few weeks later. I'm fulfilled. And happy.

Tried this company for a driver for an xhp50 Iam trying to build and their prices are good but I don’t know about their shipping times and they don’t gave a large quantity of parts just trying to give out some other optionshttp://www.lck-led.com/new-products.html

I never ordered from them (yet, lol) but i am mildly impressed with all the stuff i am finding that i want/need.

its not OPTIMUM… EG, the lasers/modules… not ALL the stuff i am looking for? but a decent amount… not too bad.
the ecig stuff is a decent selection too. i found vape liquid i HAVE to try, its so much for so cheap…
I even found a transmitter/receiver module i wanted…

the selection on all this stuff? its actually pretty decent… but with decent prices…

like i said? i am moderately impressed…
