It’s great for modding, once you get past the glue. It’s easier to just get the host from Simon’s Ali store

I always wanted a UltraFire UF-T60 because it’s set up for 2S for a easy MT-G2 mod.

But when you compare that to the price of the Small Sun ZY-T08.

.

Don’t think he sells them anymore, kind of a pity. It was a good quality host. Got 1 of the hosts running an DD MTG-2. Was quite happy with the outcome.

It appears to be this light.

Looks the same yes @ less than Simon had the host for. Think the host was just over $18. I’ll have to check mine, but I can remember the lens was quite hazy, as shown in the above link. Got it cleaned eventually. An AR lens would be great, but to find budget ones (around $3 a piece) in this size is a bit of a pain. Thanks for the link.

I'm looking at one now and it has an AR lens standard. It has a slight blue tinge to it.

Thanks MRsDNF. I almost can’t believe it. I might have missed this, but I doubt if mine has an AR lens… I’ll look closely later today at mine. Where did you buy yours?

Which size does the reflector have? Is it like a zyt13 or t08? Or smaller?

I always wanted to try a xhp50 and I guess this would make a quick mod but I am unsure how well the reflector throws in stock form…

Smaller.

Hi Werner. I’d try to stick with OP reflectors for XHP. I hate any form of that dark center spot and its really a pain with SMO reflectors. I believe this reflector is too small for a proper XHP-50 ‘Thrower’.

Does anyone maybe have proper modded lux figures for XM-L2 in this light? Would be interesting to see how this compares to the Maxtoch’s (M24 & 2X). The reflector is quite a bit smaller.

I thought there were deals here in this thread :frowning:

Yes that’s the one. It’s very big (heavy at least) and cheap but if it’s glued I might get something else instead.

Price lowered on: A multi-color copycat on Xiaomi ‘miLED’ LED USB 1.2W Light for just $0.99 / NON-REF /

Mine came from the link above. I bought three as they were very cheap. I've had a few looks at the lens to double check if it is AR and it definitely has a very slight blue reflective tinge to it.

Edit. The Banggood link. Don't you love that name.

Edit two. I've just stuck a couple of protected batteries in this light and the tailcap will not screw on fully. Even with the brass pill on the spring removed it still does not do all the way up. There is about 4mm gap before the tailcap will screw all the way on with 70mm long batteries installed. It has mode memory and the reflector has a slight haze to it. Tailcap current draw on high is around 1 amp on high, .5 amp med and .12 amp on low.

If you are planning a gift for dear person that is also flashlight noob this are the best cells to give.

but have the length of 70mm in mind!

they do not fit in every light… (ask why i know)

True, and that was my first concern when I bought first NCR18650B protected cell (that was loooooong time ago), surprisingly I never had problems fitting then in any of my flashlights, they even fit my Nitecore MH20 and I was ready to bet they will not fit, good thing I don’t bet

1W 50 lm Touch-Regulated Dimmable USB LED Light for $1.00 / NON-REF /

This is a great must-have thingie for using it as a camping light with power banks, etc. Warm and neutral white light color options are available.

Hint: 3+ pieces per $0.78 each. I also encourage you to use your accumulated BangGood points to reduce the paid amount by 15%!

just a side note, this little puppies are great but they don’t work so good with “smart” usb power banks like Xiaomi pb, actually when they are set to about 40% of intensity or below they don’t work at all. Smart power banks monitor current consumption and when this consumptions is low(er!) they presume that consumer device is fully charged and they cut off the power (shut down).
I bought Xiaomi 10400mAh power bank to use with this USB light but if I set the light to minimum intensity, which is still quite enough to light up the tent just enough but because consumption is so low that pb just shuts off and then you have to unplug and plug again USB light to get it working again and you have to crank up the output, somewhere to 50% and that is to much for my intended usage
