It's $5. I haven't got one myself, but it doesn't look too bad. Plus, it's powered by easy to find AA cells. The only downside is that I can't pick them up. Delivery cost (tried 2 of them at checkout) was $7.95. For me, it seems that ordering 5 maxes the delivery cost to $11.95.
The 2444 is available here in NZ at Bunnings among others for as little as $8. I believe they are a rebranded Mora Companion F. Great knifes for the price.
Woolies has 4 packs of Energizer Lithium AA and AAA for $15. Usually $21, and I rarely find these on sale anywhere. Sale likely ends tomorrow (Tuesday) as new sales usually come out on Wednesdays.
Pretty much stuff-all, apart from some OSHPark boards, & components from RS.
I have to comment again about the service from RS-online; I had placed one order for a bunch of driver components, a couple of which were not in stock (listed as 3-4 days to get in).
They split the order, & EACH package (of which there were three) was sent via either TOLL or Couriers Sleaze, arriving within 1-2 days from being sent. I was not expecting a courier service for free delivery, especially on a few bucks worth of components!
Couriers are odd, RS might have an arrangement where prices are a fixed annual fee. One of delivery clients get the shaft, while regular account holders can get very reasonable pricing.
Yea I’m sure they will have a contract with couriers. Although it’ll cost us $15 to send it, RS is pumping through hundreds of deliveries per day with them and have probably negotiated some miniscule cost.
I haven’t bought anything for a year or so! Just still browsing here and there though. Nothing really that exciting lately!
The $25.00 US for this light showed on my bank account $34 something. The dollar is still slowly dropping. I wouldn't be surprised if it dropped a lot more.
I noticed my order of the A6 also came out to about $34 which highlighted how poor the Aussie dollar is at the moment. It’s been worse, but also better too. I tend not to buy any torches that are $US30+ for that reason. One exception is the Convoy X3 I purchased recently, this was thanks in part to a Lightscastle $15 credit I won in another thread.
I just bought 4 x 30Q batteries with MM's coupon from BG for $25.20 Aussie. I thought that was a good deal in todays market.
The wifes going to hit the roof with how much the BLF comp light build is costing when we have a big bill on the credit card from my US trip still to pay of.
All my life the $AU fluctuates between US$0.60 and US$0.80 in normal times. This is the range where its meant to be, at times it can be a tad under US$0.50, but its rarely above US$0.90 (until recently). The reality now is not that the AU is doing badly, its actually the US$ is recovering. The reason we hit parity, even surpassed it wasnt due to an exceptionally strong $AU, it was largely due to a weak $US.
