Hello. I'm looking for a light for my chick. I'm thinking 14500 or 10440. 18650 might work too. Just no multi-cell and under $30~ The only catch is it has to be blue. I was thinking the E03 but I'm afraid it will be too purple. Also found these. I will get one if nothing else pops up. Are there any lights with blue LEDs. I'm sure she would really like that.
She will like the A3 EOS .
The a3 looks a little better than the xtar. Would be cool if it took 14500s instead though.
I'm a little confused why you would want a 14500 or 10440..?? personally gifting a light that has to have a specialty charger and a lithium seems tough ..
the 10440 i've taken off the table ..A little light isn't going to be all that impressive if it gains 30% more lumens .. it will just run hot and kill runtime
what about the CQG S-2 stainless steel , comes in a neutral tint 3 modes will take a 14500 and 16$ .. sounds like the bomb to me
Well we live together so the charging and stuff wouldn't be too big of a deal. And she already knows the lithiums aren't disposable. She uses a c78 on a 14500 right now. I just wanted to get her something a little prettier. I've never been much of a fan of aaa's or 10440's. The CQG looks really nice. But it must be blue.
Maybe you just wait a little longer and get her a blue L2P with a drop-in of choice?
I wouldn't give up on the E03 just yet. The color changes depending on the light source. Inside it may look purple but outside it might look blue.
How about a blue mini-maglite 'match'-modded with a low voltage drop-in?
The L2P and match mag sound pretty good. How long till the L2P is available? Thanks everyone for the help.
I would get her one of the Johnnymac mini mags. Than she would have something unique and very cool.
Johnnymac? Link please?
That would be me.
Here is a link to a thread I started for my "micro-'mac'lites".
Meet my newest creation... [image] My Micro "Mac"-light, a single 14500 driven minimag based on Match's simple emitter mod with a shortened battery tube to avoid using a dummy battery and to make a truly pocketable Maglite at only 3.6" (91.4mm) long. This baby is driven by a 3500mA 5-mode driver putting current to a T6-1A emitter and out of a Carclo TIR lens. Since this is just my first quick prototype, it is running out of a standard P60 pill but is fully heatsinked with arctic silver, tight…
I happen to be in the process of converting the blue mini that is shown in the beginning of that thread. It will be completed tomorrow. My avatar pic also shows a charcoal one I made and sold.

The L2p should be available since middle of Sept., but Solarforce don't release it until now. Solarforce-sales does not answer any question about te releasedate on facebook. I think there are some problems with the release.
Next problem for you: I will buy all blue L2p, if they are released - blue is my favorite color and I like the Solarforce L2p (I have a black and a grey one of 2010)
