Just wondering if these magnifier lamps/halogen used in spa salons to do facials, if they emit UV radiation because what is the point of going for a facial if you’re getting radiation there?? The lady put “tanning” goggles on me, but still I am just curious. Thanks

well she told me halogen, but either way, it’s not a good/healthy situation then, right? I wonder if there are other people who can do facials with an alternative lighting that can be close, but not dangerous.

Second, we don’t really do “seriousness” around here. It leads to too many problems. Seriously.
Thirdly, you got your answer. Let me rehash: The beautician is not correct. It’s not halogen, it’s fluorescent light. S/he probably put the goggles on you so you’d stop squinting.
Lastly, everything is dangerous, c’est la vie. You should probably be more terrified of the people who try to scare you, than of whatever it is (e.g. “UV”) that they’re trying to make you scared of. If that makes any sense… It’s wise of you to seek expert advice, so let me offer what works for me, what has worked for most humans for a couple million years: Wash your face, stop polluting it with stuff you need a Licensed Beautician to peel off, go outside and let the sun and wind and rain make you beautiful. Your beautician won’t like it, but your face will. Your choice. Serious enough?

It enables the beautician (
