Review request for HKJ [Rechargeable Batteries]

I thin you both are not understanding each other.
Cajampa meant that if they have their own cell… They do not need to mention another manufacturer cell as if it were a rewrap so if you are reviewing a 18650 2450mAh 38A… At the point… CELL Used you won’t read INR18650-25R5… But just nothing because it’s their own cell

Now I don’t know if wolf dog just wanted AWT to put a code on their own cell if this is the case… So an AWT 18650 2450mAh 28A… Would be marked as CELL ID something like (AWT18650XYZ38A)

My guess….

I thought I was VERY clear!!

I am NOT alone in speculating/wondering that AWT, EFEST and others may be re wraps because they do NOT verify or mention what cell they are using. For Crying out loud,HKJ mentions it every time at the end of the review when the cell is NOT specified!

WHY WOULD THEY LEAVE IT BLANK?!!

Qui Riposa in pace!!

I include the cell used if I am told what cell it is and allowed to include the information. I.e. the information is not what I can guess about the cells used, but what I am told.

Generally I doubt the different Chinese brands has their own cell factory, but if a brand states clearly that a cell is made in their own factory, I will probably include that information.

Thanks HKJ for clarifying! 8)

HUGE difference between Panasonic[established/verified/trusted] and AWT or Efest!

That is like saying if it is EFEST IMR 18650 2500mAh 35A then that is what cell is inside?!

Sorry, if someone I do not know says something I need some proof or verification before I believe them, especially from a communist country like China! They thrive on American support, regardless of that when it comes to money, people can and will do anything to make sure that it[$] continues to flow!

??? Yes I know it is not complicated, that is why I was trying to explain that to you.

But you seemed to not realize (in the post i was replying to) that the name of the battery WAS the cell inside. Of course we couldn’t have know that before Grace claimed AWT make there own cells, but until that is disproven I will assume that is what they are.

They only thing i didn’t understand about your point, was why you where asking a question that was already answered.

I also have doubts that AWT truly make all there own cell & seemingly can compete with the massive battery manufacturer like LG, Samsung & Panasonic. And just “happen” to launch new spec cell very near the launch of these often rewrapped cells in similar specs & capacity as the big & well know manufacturers.
If they really can make such high end products WHY would they ever want to taint there reputation, with Ultrafire products that makes no sense to me at all :~

But as i said before in this thread if HKJ test says they are good compared to other cells in the market, then they are an option to buy for me

Thanks TheBo  you got it, and yes Wolfdog you aren’t alone in suspecting them, but now AWT have at least officially claimed by there representative Grace to be “original & authentic” battery cell manufacturers, so we will have to see how this all plays out in the future

The Chinese manufacturers have at least produced 2 cells that i know of that beats anything the usual big manufacturers have made yet, the Windyfire 14500 600mha 10A & the Efest IMR10440 350mha cells + many of the good 26650 & 32650 cells i think also are Chinese made……right?. So at least we know in “unusual” sizes they can compete.

Inside I assume is the EFEST IMR 18650 2500mAh 35A cell

I don’t try to defend the supposedly rewrapers, but if you don’t trust there claims in regards to AWT, then just says so instead of asking the same question again, so there will be less confusion.

Good news on the ordered MKNE 26650 3500mAh cell :), i know some are suspecting that that is the base cell for the Efest purple 26650 3500mha. It is going to be interesting to find out if it could be

The reason it seemed like the same question to you is because you could NOT grasp what I was saying about the specs in HKJ’s review of AWT and the FACT that the cell information was left blank! That was my whole point that I had to repeat over and over!

Maybe it’s time to review the whole manufacturing process?

Where is the production line done?

What machinery is used?

lol,( sorry, but i can not helping laughing) Thanks, Hank, you are smart!!! See your man fights with batteries is a great pleasure on me. ( not mean to offend) cuz you guys cares about battery, cares about the Chinese factory made or re-wrapped. I am here assure you guys, the AWT is AWT !!!
Poor Chinese AWT workers in produce line…….If they know the AWT battery they produced be seem as the LG , Samsung, Panasonic or Sony, what will they think? happy or sad ? I guess they will say the same as i do, : AWT IS AWT !!! Their hands become black as they touch the battery. they hear that noise made by the machine. some of them search the best solution to improve the capacity with a little high ampers. to test the battery themself. though, they can not vape or use the expensive flashlight. but , they made their effort, and did their good job.

Grace, it is good to see that you enjoy our fiery discussion on batteries. To be honest i was concerned you would find it off putting, so i am glad you find it enjoyable

And i would hope your workers in the produce line, would be proud that they are competing with the big manufacturers in performance & that is what leads to these speculations.

What you could do to easier present the performance of your batteries, is to publish a discharge curve with different amp loads like HKJ does.
Because only the max amp rating & mha rating, isn’t enough to really know the performance of a battery in various applications & under various loads.

This is actually not reassuring. I hope you will post pictures of the operation, and the quality control test results that you make each time someone changes anything about the production line. Yes, you can increase capacity by making small changes in material or construction. But capacity is a tradeoff for other important things you also want to know.

You get better “capacity” by substituting different separator material, for example —- but that has been the cause of a number of fires because someone in a factory substituted “almost the same” material, and it took a few years before it broke down and the chemicals mixed. That was in the news several years ago.

Poor Chinese workers, indeed.
Sounds like you are getting the bad side of capitalism, just like every other country has at one time.

US history you may find applies: “Don’t mourn. Organize.”

hahahaha! Nice to see that there are people who are so Trustworthy with Word of mouth information that is unverified!!

er, what? I know China is a long way off for most of us, but let’s say they have a street address for their factory —- that sort of thing that can be verified.
Would that help?

If they’re really being as careless about handling lithium-ion chemicals as the “black hands” story suggests, eventually we could find it by looking for the plume of smoke and following the ambulances. But I hope that was exaggeration and they’re a legitimate producer of good batteries.

Time will tell.

Would you mind taking a look at the new Olight 3600mah 18650?

Interesting, i guess those can only be based on the panasonic NCR18650G 3600mAh cell.
Crazy expensive though……

Not at the current time, I have way to much in queue.

I have put them on my low priority list, if they are still available when my queue is running low I will get them.

Banggood has started selling
LG18650HG2 3000mAh 20A
Sanyo NCR18650GA 3500mAh 10A
Samsung NR18650 30Q 3000mah 15A You hadn’t added a buy link for these (or the LG HG2) so I am not sure if you still needed a seller for these. They call them Keeppower but the picture shows the Samsung cell,
LG INR18650 MH1 3200mAh
HETER 26650 4500mAh that was discussed earlier in this thread.
Sony US18650VTC5 these have started to show up at most trustworthy sellers now, i guess the supply problem is solved? or they are all fakes……time will tell.

Good to see bangood picking up there cell game, soon we will hopefully be able to always count on them to sell the latest & greatest cells around, for reasonable with free shipping prices

Some cell manufacturers i hope they start selling cells from are Efest, Windyfire & AWT.

+1 on all, except the HETER i have no interest….

the new 3KmAh roundup would be very very important, comparison below the 15A mark could be nice. all those single applications, where you have a single cell, maybe with a triple led in parallel and you don’t want the cell to dry out in few mins

also can’t wait to see how BAD the NL147 will perform…my sample it’s the worst cell I ever paid for…and was relatively EXPENSIVE
