Some more sellers links this time from Gearbest, who also seem to have up there effort on batteries lately, although they still sell Ultrafires :Sp I will always be extra suspicious at any new cell they pick up until they stop sell those fakers
“DQG 320mAh 3.7V 10440”http://www.gearbest.com/batteries/pp_187025.html I think these are new. I can’t find any tests or reviews of these anywhere. I always look for that 10440 that will beat the Efest IMR10440
AWT IMR 2600mAh 40A I think this is the newest high drain cell. Good to see some more sellers picking up the AWT’s.
EDIT FAKES It seems i was right to be suspicious about Gearbest’s honesty, I missed it at first, but Billy X pointed out later in the thread that Gearbest actually admits that they sell fake AWT cells………
TrustFire 950mAh 10A 14650 3.7V IMR An interesting size could possible fit in some 14500 lights if we don’t use springs & can move the driver or drill out the bottom, for some extra capacity. If they are good that is At least the 32650 Trusfire’s are good, that always ups the chance these could be one of those rare *fire cells that are nice.
reveal his findings ,all this speculation is just that speculation there have been a few good results and I have communicated with Grace she appear to be a very informed knowledgeable woman who contrary to other Chinese vendor ,a he did not spam any forums or try any flash sales she sent her companies batteries directly to HKJ for an honest review not jus hyped up uninformed sales rep trying to push their companies product. What is the worst that could happen your right they are rewrapped and you get bragging rights to say I told you so if your wrong we as a community get some superior qaulity batteries. By the way Grace does know her product and she has pride in her product
For the AWT 2600Ah IMR cell,Gearbest states,in the questions and answers, that they are not genuine AWT cells.I would stay clear for the moment.I’m glad they were honest about it though.here
Thanks Billy, i missed that. I removed the link to them.
I was right to be suspicious of them……
I refuse to buy cells from Gearbest until they stop selling fakes.
And what is worse is they knowingly damages AWT reputation & their own by selling fakes……
At the current time I am not really looking for more batteries to review, my queue is between 15 and 20 weeks long, but I might take a look in a couple of months.
Any chance you would do some LiFePO4 batteries of any sizes HKJ? I have an 18650 and AAA size ones that are doing fine by me. Albeit with shorter run time, and somewhat less output on Turbo (DD). I know on paper these are not that appealing…
An interesting new SKILHUNT 26650 5500mha Protected At Banggood
I wonder if SKILHUNT is one of the fakers when it comes to capacity or if they are one of the honest manufacturers.
I have a few FASTTECH links to the LiFePO4 batteries in 18650, 16340AAA and AA sizes for you to test if you have the time.
I am mainly interested if they live up to the MAH claims and how they hold up during high loads. I do not know if you have a way of testing their supposedly higher recharge rates either.
Thanks and if you have too much already on your plate, no problems.
I just hope, somehow, you could put the latest state-of-the-art 18650's to the top of the queue. These are the cells, I think, that are of most interest in which we have no test results on. In this vein, it would be much better to test the original cell brand, not the re-wraps that are so common - obviously this is getting harder and harder to figure out though. But if you stay with the latest offerings from Sanyo (GA), Samsung (30Q) and LG (HG2), that would be a great start. Also it's both selfish and thinking of you -- rewraps are sort of a waste of your precious time and energy.
Right now, we have a slew of high performance cells coming out at 3000 mAh, and moderate performance ones at 3500 mAh - these are the ones.
BangGood got a notification from UltraFire to stop using their name, so MECO is the brand name they are using in place of UltraFire. That's the word I got from a BangGood rep. One day I noticed all UltraFire brands dropped from the BG site, so I asked. I was hoping they would bring back the UltraFire ZY-T11 clone under MECO branding, but it's not there, yet.
I sure wouldn't trust the MECO brand cells, same as not trusting UltraFire cells (real capacity, charge cycles, etc.).
