Same finish as the L2T , and the L2T head looks sweet on the new L2 ...
Very well machined .
Body is shorter now [ about time ] , as the original L2 was a little on the too long side ...
If ever there was a time to get on the L2 bandwagon ? now might be the time .
I just swapped tailcaps - L2T to L2 and if you want a forward clicky on your L2 or a reverse clicky on your L2T
Well what can I say, LEGO city .
I need another L2 like I need another hole in my head , but having just got my hands on the new L2 , I just might need to buy another [ did I say needs = I meant WANT ]
Sorry - New L2 comes with Reverse Clicky ... L2T comes with Forward Clicky ...
If you have both bodies , then you can configure [ LEGO ] to personal taste ..
I want it! I sense yet another secret purchase. I think I'm running out of excuses to tell my wife. Oh well i guess I'll tell her the one that works all the time.. " Honey,I ordered it 2 months ago. It's not my fault it takes 2 months to be delivered from china". Wife, " OK well this better be the last one." " It is honey, but i think there are a few more packages that haven't arrived";). Wife, " OK then ...go watch the kids." End :)
for the price of take out , id rather go hungry and have a new L2 ....
Food , or a new flashlight , hmmmmm!
If mem serves my end of year d'd'd'diet started Monday , so ill take a new L2
My stomach was growling yesterday , had a little lie down after school , and the cat had missed me and needed to lie on top of me , so the cat was purring and my stomach was growling ,........ it was quite funny ....
So ill just ease up on other luxuries like food .....
I have only seen the L2T in pictures on Solarforce's website and Old's review sticky, so I admit to not having seen one in person, but I prefer the looks of the L2 over the L2T. I do like the L2T Head on the L2 (thanks, Old, for demonstrating how well they go together), they do look natural, now that the L2 has the matte finish. Too bad SF does not sell the bare L2T head so that you can just purchase that to turn the L2 into the "L2t" or "L2.5t". :)
What was the final verdict on the l2t tail as far as current? I thought I read it didn’t handle the higher current that well.
I still haven’t jumped in the SF yet (other than the 2aa I gave to my Dad). I have 2 6p’s, but don’t have enough drop-in’s (or funds) to support many more hosts.
Now I have to decide between a L2, L2P, & L2T…
Thought my mind was set on a gray L2p until they sold out again.
Probably worth getting the L2P w/drop-in already assembled since you get the drop-in for $6.00. Even if you don't prefer SF LED's it can still be used in another host for the low cost of $6.00. Also, the new L2P host is priced about $6.00 more than the old model was last priced at, which is what the L2T is currently being sold for. You also get a more expensive forward clicky on the cheaper L2T. So is the HAIII anodizing worth the $8.00 difference (considering tail switch difference)? That would mean we're also trending upwards in price.
EDIT: I was looking at the regular L2. It had me fooled because it looked like the L2P from those pics. Sorry for the misdirection :)
