(gb=closed) Only 50 lights were delivered and sent out, *BLF special* Romisen 365/400nm 2xUV SSflashlight, gb with Tinywind

I trust that the GB will come out great. I have the patience. I just wanted to know how will they inform us of shipping. I chose regular shipping. Not a big deal by any means.

Oh, I thought they had shipped with the order. No biggy though- I’ve lived this long without a UV light.

No, Tinywind did not dare to have the custom flashlight made without knowing that actually 200 would be sold. But this set-up was already known at the start of this group buy and announced in the OP. The OP is a bit clogged up with update posts now, so it may look hidden in the meantime :-)

Gotcha. The problem was I didn’t read the thread after I got he coupon code and paid for the light… So I didn’t see the August 13th update. No worries- thanks for making this happen!

Progress report, got this message from Saphire, the inscription is on the tailcap :-) :

Hi djozz,

The lights has been under manufacturing, it will take about 10 days, and we would send the lights out upon of receiving them on our warehouse.

Below is the inscription:

Saphire

Still thinking about this flashlight, but I wonder if Tinywind can source a Woods filter lens that fits it, to cancel out the white light from the 365 UV LED.

I found these ZWB2 filters on Aliexpress, quite interesting to try actually, but these are only 10mm diameter. I would like to try them but I can't order on Aliexpress (I have no credit card, and Aliexpress does not do bank transfers from the Netherlands).

But to answer your question: It could be a nice option but it will not be for this group buy light for this price. The 10mm filters from the above link could be used for a small AAA size 365nm light perhaps. A cheap chinese 365nm led + this filter will be cheaper than a proper Nichia 365nm led that does not emit visible light anyway. The Nichia will still win in output of course.

Can’t wait for this dual uv light, when it arrive i want to play with several money and see some stain

Is it too late to join?

i don't have a SS 18650 light yet ;)

Yes, it is too late

But: the order made by Tinywind at Romisen is a bit larger than the group buy, the remaining units are sold at the Tinywind website for 20 dollar.

thx for info, am not buying then

Once these lights are delivered we can establish the amount and quality of the light, if the leds perform well, 20 dollar may still be a good deal..

On a positive note, if you didn’t use the $6 coupon at Tinywind for their anniversary yet, that brings it down to $13.99, and don’t forget to add a 1 penny item to your order as well.

Tinywind’s anniversary thread: NEW TrustFire TR-DF010 CREE XHP70 2 Models 1600LM Diving Flashlight $69.29 Shipped (explains how to use the $6 coupon)
Tinywind’s list of 1 penny buys, you may add one per order: http://www.tinywind.com/special-gifts-c-620_695.html

if they want to sell off the overproduction and want to gain NEW customers (i never heard of Tinywind before!) they better give me the coupon or i'll never look at them again from now on

they need HAPPY new customers.

not pi**ed ones. ;)

better not buy there then

I want to check personal stains. ROFL!

A whole new world is awaiting!

Apart from that the picture above is probably taken with a broadband UV lightsource (that goes down to 300nm or less), that gives a more colourful picture than just using 365nm. Also a blocking filter is used to filter out the visible light from the lightsource

This should work in a S2+ style host since it is 20mm x 2mm.

Good find, anyone cares to order one to try? Or even better, order one for me to try and I will pay for the filter plus shipping to me (preferably someone EU-based of course).
