Looks like it could be modified to be waterproof fairly easily. Just need a thin sheet of silicone sandwiched between the white(?) button washer and the face of the tail. I have a laptop keyboard protector silicone sheet that is even thinner then it would need to be but it’s still surprisingly strong. I’d round the edges of the white clicky actuator a bit. A gasket designed for the switch would be better though.
The washer/spacer is aluminum. It looks like it was punched from ~2 mm aluminum sheet stock.
The infamous fake ones have regular hardware store steel washers. These seem to be always corroded. Not sure if they were installed like that, or if it was caused by water infiltration, or solder flux from the switch PCB.
Ordered mine with the BLF note, and it shipped next day, I have no idea if the value charged will be reduced at all, not concerned either way

Blue S2+ host is now available! Note: There is a minimum quantity of 2 just like the red host. If you only want 1 you could try sending Simon a message or (for US customers) you will also be able to get the Blue S2+ flashlight and host with no minimum quantity from Mountain Electronics. They don’t have them in stock yet but Richard told me they have both the lights and hosts on the way. That’s one other source where you can be certain you are getting genuine Convoy products.

Oh, sorry. I told the camera to over-expose so the other details would be more visible. The washer didn’t seem like it really needed much detail, since it’s only a washer. It is actually bare aluminum though.

They shipped out my 3 x Blue S2+ 4 days after ordering, so they have them in stock. I have of course ordered some direct from Simon also, but wanted the 4C tint, and why pay $16.xx + custom made, when I can get the 4C tint for 12.99? And I’m sure of that Gearbest.com don’t going to sell fake Convoys anymore.
While you certainly have the right to your opinion, I wholeheartedly disagree. Gearbest has burned BLF member over and over and over. Their customer service sucks and they are dishonest. If you paid that much at Simon’s store then you didn’t apply the BLF discount and wait for Simon to adjust the amount. I don’t care if Gearbest is selling them for $5. I still wouldn’t buy from them. I don’t support a business that bribes people to remove negative reviews and only publishes positive reviews on their own site. Even in the Gearbest ad for the S2+ they lie about the product details.
They claim it puts out 1000 lumens…Lie.
They claim it has AR coated glass…Lie.
