Yes,it's from massdrop, on the other side of box, the tape has Massdrop printed on it.
Just feeling weird, Maratac should have thoses coppers produced in China, not sure which company. Why only MD has them on sale but not Countycomm? Does MD has the permition to sell?
I’ll have to see what my massdrop packages normally come packed with, the last couple Spydercos were bubble mailer.
I am pretty sure CountyComm is a contract manufacturer, or a middleman. A few of their items are over runs from other contracts (like Maratac watches).
I’d have to say they have permisssion to sell, because they have to contract the vendors to make arrangements for the group buy pricing.
Not sure how great a deal this is but Massdrop has the Armytek Wizard Pro v2 Headlamp in cool white for $84.99 if they get 10 commitments and $79.99 if they get 20.
I hate how Massdrop makes you sign in so I tried antiparanoico’s trick with the guest link and hope it works.
I have the same light at home and I purchased it at full retail price.
At $32.99, it’s a good buy for a quality and solid light, with free battery to boot
The insane paranoia about firearms is spreading to knives. Eventually, it’ll probably spread to “assault flashlights” (anything over 100 lumens or with a strobe).
I wouldn’t characterze it as “paranoia”.
The Int’l Laws about knife possession are hugely varied, and Massdrop likely
doesn’t want the liability.
Sounds reasonable to me.
I got my copper AAA. The finish is excellent. The tint is too cool for my taste. If you remove the clip, it will scratch the light. I hope they release the copper 16340 on massdrop too.
A note from the legal department: We do not recommend the use of 10440 rechargeable batteries with this flashlight. It is designed to use a off the shelf alkaline, lithium, NiMH or Nicad AAA batteries. We do not recommend use of higher voltage batteries.
