Just found that the OLIGHT SR Mini is down to $63.75 when the “BGLFC” is applied. This coupon can also be used for a range of torches in the July sale which is still active

I never understood why the S15 is driven so much weaker than the S10 and S1…

Has there been any deals for the S30R for under $50? I don’t need the battery.

The S10 only has to deal with 3.0-4.2v, and so not too much of a range of voltage and can be optimised for this range.

The S15 has to have a different driver that has to deal with 1.2-4.2v, and so a much wider range of voltage.

I have the S15.

That’s my take on it, but of course, I could be wrong:-)

Thanks,
-Chuck

That makes sense, but if that’s the case, I’d like to seem them make a S15 that only works on 14500 with higher ouput.

I hear ya, but that would be a very poor seller - Don’t you think?

The only reason that I selected the S15 over the S10 was to be able to fall back on DuraPop Alkaleaks in the case of a crisis. - 280-400 is not really all that much different to the eye, or so I’ve heard…

The flip side of this is the Zebralight SC5 - No 14500 support, and 500 lumens! - What could they do with a 14500 only light?

I dunno - I’m thinking that I will just wait until Olight applies their S1 tech to the 18650 form factor - A very small light with a nice size gas tank! - A SC62 Killer!

You just know that they will, don’t you… I hope:-)

Thanks,
-Chuck

That’s exactly why I won’t be playing any of their over-complicated silly games, specially as the 9/9 one starts at 3:00 am for me and anything worth buying will probably be gone by 3:01.
Don’t understand the logic of it myself, surely they are going to end up with far more annoyed/disappointed customers than happy ones?
