Xtar H3 Warboy mini review for "newbies"

Nice cat can, I would have named him Panda because he sure looks like one  .

Thanks for the little review.

btw, I use my cellphone for all my BLF-pictures, the quality is way sufficient and it makes better macroshots than most big camera's

Thanks for sharing, I think this is my next headlamp. Have you had anymore use with it? What’s your overall opinion? I really enjoy Xtar products.

Thanks so much, greatly appreciated.

Nice review. I enjoyed reading it. Thanks for posting.

Enjoyable review. Thanks!

Thank for the review, do you have any other headlamp to compare it to?

I have one of the Xtar H2’s, and I really like it. Thanks for the review on the H3, now I may have to get one of those as well…. It is nice to see a good review from a user level, you did great and put the light into a good perspective for someone new to the flashlight forums….

Thanks for the crelant pics, it gives me a better reference now

Very well put, and i totally agree.

Ah, trying to bump up our youtube views are we! I knew there was an ulterior motive

Ha Ha, watched it. I think there are plans to reintroduce beavers to the uk, if they haven’t done it already. I might get to see one for myself one day.

Nice review thanks . How is PWM?

Thanks can. nice videos

I am not a tech guy but why don’t you use current controlled drivers like olight?

There is no visually detectable PWM …
You can try the old hand trick - just wave your hand in front of the flashlight .
The other method is with a digital camera , just shine the light into the lens till you see purple / pink lines …
If they are solid , then no detectable PWM …
If they look like the white lines on a road , then you have detected some PWM …
Im only seeing very narrow solid lines …
So if you have a digital camera , and some flashlights , give it a try !
I wonder if the cameras sensor can see the PWM ?
So might be possible to record it ?

First is of a flashlight with PWM , second is the H3 Warboy

I have noticed the ramp in brightness… You see it very easily on my runtime test… It only happens on the turbo mode though. Also my camera or eye could not detect any visible PWM.

Im gonna ask this question in 3 reviews on H3, mine exluding :D!

So, the question is - does the thermal stepdown works on yours?

Seems like it doesnt on mine, it always stays on turbo even when the light becomes scorching hot!

Turning it down to high doesnt help either, the light still stays hot, hot, hot!!!

Works on my H3 Warboy too. Tested it while working at home. Tailstanding next to my computer. Put it on turbo and waited for the low-voltage protection of the 3,400 mAh Keeppower to kick in. All this time I could touch and hold it without fear of burning myself. Now loving it even more!
